I doubt that the greatest knee surgeon in the world works for the Bengals. Palmer is a smart guy who realizes that his body is his career. I am sure he went to the best surgeon around. He isn't stupid and neither is Marv. The Bengals backed his move. He'll be back for the opening game.

Jason Whitlock - ESPN
3. Here's something I found interesting: Carson Palmer didn't let Bengals doctors operate on his knee, and he's doing his rehabilitation away from the Bengals' trainers.
Coaches will tell you that one of the key components for success is for players to trust the training staff and the strength and conditioning coach. Cincinnati players don't trust the Bengals' medical staff. I don't think Palmer will be ready for the start of training camp.

Who is Simpson?

Our offense is good enough to get it done. The problem is that the offense is at least twice as good as the defense. Defense, defense, defense!!!!!!! I don't want to see an offensive guy selected in the entire draft.

Any of you college watchers know Claude Wroten? Watching Troy light up everyone is making me really appreciate having a SS. We have to stop the run though. Maybe this guy will slip because he likes weed. The Bengals will just have to keep him and Henry seperate.
-
What RU kidding? Who wouldn't want a 34 year old QB with a career rating of 75.3 with baby hands to build a team around. Poor guy. He should realize how lucky he is that 9 guys on a team even like him.
-
He has no say whatsoever in where he goes. He's under contract, and no one wants to deal with all of that mess. It wasn't him anyway, but he has no leverage. He's going to be back, and all of this Chad talk will be over and he will have his emotions under control by next season.

If you go to cnn.si.com they have what they think are the 20 best college guys. There are alot of DE's, but I think only 2 Tackles. Is out slot final? If so where is it?

The Bengals have so many youngsters on defense, that I can't imagine them not being alot better next year. Alot of Marvin's linebackers should start to blossom with more time under the system. It seems like common sense that players will more likely be where they are supposed to be with a few years. I would think that this draft will be heavy on defense, and if that's the case I think the Bengals will be better tested next year against all of those great teams. My only fear is a Charger effect, but if we get some more D and of course Palmer coming back. I think we can do it again.

Only a maniac would want Marv fired after the amazing job he has done. I can realistically say that I could stomach 4 losing season's in a row and still not want Marv fired. I will never forget the pre-Marvin era.

It's interesting how teams like the Colts and Bengals get a lot of press, but in the end. The meat and potatoe teams are the final 2 in the AFC. They both run, and stop the run.

That Bing guy from usc is coming out. Will he be there when the bengals pick?
-
I bet our linebackers will be phenomenal next year!

I'm listening to the NFL blitz right now and they were giving props to Lebeau and it makes me wonder why he couldn't build a defense in Cincy. Was it management then? drafting? I guess I'm confused as to why he is a genius in Pittsburgh and in all of his stops with Cincy couldn't get us a top 5 defense.

The Bengals should be extatic that us fans even care this much. There was a time that the season was over in October. It is January, and we are pissed that we didn't go to the Super Bowl! Think about that. We were going crazy when the Bengals were 8-8! We dreamed of 10 win seasons. Now we're pissed because 1 of our many superstars might have gotten out of line. I for 1 am happy I can talk about this, instead of hoping that Akili Smith will develope into the type of player that was worth passing up the Saints entire draft for! God bless Marvin!!
-
Yes. Marvin's long waited reply has made me happy. I'll be first to go yahoo! when Chad catches a 80 yard bomb. I desperately want the Bengals to become a dynasty, and I just don't want anything getting in the way of that. That's all. I'm glad it's over with. Now let's move on to Palmer's rehab, and fixing that D. All of this could have been done if The Great Marv would have said this earlier. I'm sure he's got more important things to do than comment on rumors. Remember we are all on the same side. You touchy bastards.
-
Yeah. The gay stalker here. OK great, I'm glad it wasn't as bad as what was made out. You guys were acting like NOTHING happend. Just say there was an argument and don't let the fans wonder what happend. As long as Chad doesn't become a TO or Moss, I'll love having him. I don't want to see him freaking out on the sidelines or crying to the media. Great news. It's not like I wanted Chad punching Marvin in the face. Great news!

Finally after seeing some different games, I am now over the Bengals loss. This was a great year. I couldn't imagine the off-season getting a worse start, but I think Palmer will be back and after hearing Marvin speaking about the halftime incident I don't think it was as big a deal as the website made it out to be. If he would have spoken about something happening instead of completely denying it, the rumor wouldn't have went so crazy. We are in ther beginnings of a dynasty, and at least we're not Colt fans. They must want to jump out of a building. I can't wait for the season to end so we can start building the defense (again). Extend Marv's contract! Waterboy start training! Odell leanr where you are supposed to be! Palmer start rehabbing! Ohalete start looking for work in the CFL! Madieu, hurry up and get back! Bengals will be 16-0 next year and will beat the Lions 27 to 14 in the Super Bowl!!!!!!!!!!!

There are 2 things I don't get about any Kitna talk.
1. Does Marvin even ant Kitna? Even after Kitna's greatest year ever he sent him right to the bench.
2. I have a hard time believing that teams are lining up for an old rag armed Kitna. I hope he does go to the Ravens, so the Bengals can recover 4 fumbles a year from him.
-
Just curious. Has Palmer made a statement since the surgery? I know he said something beforehand, but I didn't know if he said he'll be back by training came since the surgery. I'm wondering if he thinks it will take longer since it was so bad.
-
The trickey thing is not reaching for a position. If there is a better tight end available in the 1st rnd, than a safety or DT then I'd imagine Marv would take him.
-
Who cares retard. If I have Bengal questions or thoughts I'll post whatever the hell I want. Don't read them stupid.
Plus you posted that you were bored and wanted to talk about nicknames. Don't be a dick!

Thanks. I'll take Schaub! He's better than baby hands! I want to trade Chad Johnson to the Packers for their #1 pick.
We'll see one of these guys
in Cincinnati Bengals
Posted
Monday afternoon, Hayes looked over a group that includes Michigan tackle Gabe Watson (6-feet-3, 335 pounds), tackle Dusty Dvoracek (6-3, 302) of Oklahoma and end Victor Adeyanju (6-4, 265) of Indiana. The South team includes Jesse Mahelona (6-2, 304) of Tennessee, Louisville end Elvis Dumervil (6-0, 254) and the University of Miami's Orien Harris (6-3, 301).
This is good. The coaches will know what kind of guy they are getting, and how he'll fit by scouting these guys. If they pass on these guys we'll know why. It's pathetic, but I'll probably watch this dumb game. I'm hoping that Gabe Watson plays his ass off. I know Marvin thinks you need more than size, but it seems like a good giant would help against the run. This article is in the post, but I think one of these guys will be a Bengal.
