There needs to be a philosophical shift on offense. Not dramatic but a little more power. More power with duo. More under center with a fullback. You can't just drop back 40-50 times and be in shotgun. I mean burrow can, but the QB is under more stress, he's more vulnerable to hits and defenders just teeing off and ignoring the run. It makes any QB get happy feet.... Whatever happens with buffalo i think Joe Brady would be a great fit with Joe. They obviously know each other from LSU. He has really helped Allen mature and Allen plays from the Pocket with more poise and discipline Every great QB needs a solid running game and real power in the run game. It's why I honestly didn't want burrow playing all these reps in the preseason risking injury. I didn't think it would make a difference although I understand why they tired it. I'm honestly out of answers on why the Bengals and specifically Joe burrow on week 1 looks so off. I honestly can't explain it anymore, it's extremely bizarre. My only guess is, and this probably doesn't even make sense, is that because burrow and the offense is such a timing based offense it takes a couple games to get into a rhythm. Cincinnati is going to win the division brother. You can never really put too much into week 1. Coaches have been game planning all year, there's new pieces and teams are rusty. I believe Cincinnati has the true star power to win especially in high leverage moments in the playoffs. If buffalo plays Cincy I think buffalo would need a game from Allen like tonight and a couple turnovers A division win is huge which is why I'm more concerned with beating the jets next week for my bills. The interior oline looked solid. Fairchild looks like a star. I think when the Bengals come to Buffalo it will be for the one seed. My problem with buffalo is I don't know if they have the elite perimeter talent at corner on defense or at wr on offense to keep up with Cincinnati. And if Allen has an off day it's basically over. In order for buffalo to get past a KC or Cincinnati, a few things have to happen 1. Someone on the defensive line has to emerge as a game wrecker. Could be the rookies, could be bosa staying healthy, maybe Rousseau breaks out as a 15 sack guy. But someone has to emerge as a true difference maker 2. Tre White has to stay healthy but hairston or strong as rookies need to emerge as man cover cbs who can help buffalo with specific matchups like a Cincinnati 3. Keon Colemani or Kincaid has to emerge as a true number 1 option or at least have a breakout season If buffalo even wins the one seed, I think buffalo will need a turnover or two to get past KC or Cincinnati in the playoffs. Or maybe a return for a TD. I personally don't quite see it. I just think KC and Cincinnati have those 2-3 difference makers buffalo doesn't have. But maybe Allen can elway it. Regardless for my pick to manifest, I don't need the Bengals defense to be great, they could even be slightly below avg. I think it will be enough with what I think will be a 2007 patriots level offense Burrow is the best qb in the NFL.
