It's why I honestly didn't want burrow playing all these reps in the preseason risking injury. I didn't think it would make a difference although I understand why they tired it. And honestly they got the w and if they destroy the jags maybe there is something to it. It's just really weird. He reminds me so much of Brady and I believe he's the best. So it's just bizarre. The pats game last year was completely ridiculous. I remember the Allen game vs the jets opening night in 23. I swear I thought Allen did about 3 lines of coke before the game lmfao. It's not as surprising to me with Allen because he always will have a little variance and that devil on his shoulder. Burrow is extremely poised, on time, patient. So it's just more surprising to me when burrow is off like that. The burrow game I remember watching that was one of the best I've seen the past few years was vs the 49ers in 23. I'm honestly out of answers on why the Bengals and specifically Joe burrow on week 1 looks so off. I honestly can't explain it anymore, it's extremely bizarre. My only guess is, and this probably doesn't even make sense, is that because burrow and the offense is such a timing based offense it takes a couple games to get into a rhythm. Cincinnati is going to win the division brother. You can never really put too much into week 1. Coaches have been game planning all year, there's new pieces and teams are rusty. I believe Cincinnati has the true star power to win especially in high leverage moments in the playoffs. If buffalo plays Cincy I think buffalo would need a game from Allen like tonight and a couple turnovers A division win is huge which is why I'm more concerned with beating the jets next week for my bills. The interior oline looked solid. Fairchild looks like a star. I think when the Bengals come to Buffalo it will be for the one seed. My problem with buffalo is I don't know if they have the elite perimeter talent at corner on defense or at wr on offense to keep up with Cincinnati. And if Allen has an off day it's basically over. In order for buffalo to get past a KC or Cincinnati, a few things have to happen 1. Someone on the defensive line has to emerge as a game wrecker. Could be the rookies, could be bosa staying healthy, maybe Rousseau breaks out as a 15 sack guy. But someone has to emerge as a true difference maker 2. Tre White has to stay healthy but hairston or strong as rookies need to emerge as man cover cbs who can help buffalo with specific matchups like a Cincinnati 3. Keon Colemani or Kincaid has to emerge as a true number 1 option or at least have a breakout season If buffalo even wins the one seed, I think buffalo will need a turnover or two to get past KC or Cincinnati in the playoffs. Or maybe a return for a TD. I personally don't quite see it. I just think KC and Cincinnati have those 2-3 difference makers buffalo doesn't have. But maybe Allen can elway it. I'm not concerned about the defense because a lot of the starters including the starting CBS weren't playing. Regardless for my pick to manifest, I don't need the Bengals defense to be great, they could even be slightly below avg. I think it will be enough with what I think will be a 2007 patriots level offense Burrow is the best qb in the NFL.

I just don't like the idea that the Bengals are going to be playing their starters a lot longer in the preseason. If it was a team still trying to establish itself sure. But the Bengals are legitimate contenders and I don't buy the idea that there is any causation between playing in the preseason and starting fast or slow.

The Bengals are a legit top tier top 3 contender in the AFC Chiefs - until proven otherwise mahomes is incredible Bengals - burrow reminds me of Brady and has been the best qb in the NFL since 21 imo. Bills - solid roster with this eras elway at QB. Defense has to show up in the playoffs.... Next tier is Baltimore and Houston imo. NFC is a different landscape with lesser QBs imo but the eagles are obviously stacked and possibly the best roster. Hurts is underrated

Even if the defense is like 18-20th in pts and yds allowed, that's still enough imo for Cincinnati to get to the Superbowl The ots must stay healthy tho or at the very least 1 ot stats healthy and rivers or Ford fills in But I think you should be optimistic.

I wouldn't be too worried about pass rushers. You can miss some time in camp and still hit the ground running as a pass rusher. I understand your general point tho

I was hoping he would slip to buffalo. It's true he doesn't have the sack production but when you watch the tape, you see the elite traits and flashes of a true tier one pass rusher. Him, Murphy and hopefully Hendrickson will be a handful Jenkins inside at DT from Michigan I predict will breakout too.
