Sam is a member of the Bengals staff. He's the official bigmouthed say what you mean representative of all former Bengals! (Unofficial position of course)
-
1. Age/Sex/Race 36, Male, Caucasian
2. Hometown/How long have you been a Bengals fan 20 years
3. Why and how did you start to like the Bengals? I moved to Cincinnati in 85, and have been a Bengals fan ever since.
4. How do you show others that you are a fan? I wear my gear and constantly talk to people about the team when given an opportunity.
5. Have you ever skipped an important event for work or family in order to watch the Bengals play on TV? To watch them play in person? I missed a get together of friends that had been planned for months to go to the home opener. A man has to have his priorities. I've also called in sick to work on a Sunday to watch a game.
6. Do you think that you are more vocal about your support this year, when the team is doing so well? Actually, no. I'm a little less vocal. There's less to defend when it's so clear I'm right!
7. In past seasons, when the Bengals weren't doing so well, were you always hopeful that they would win on Sunday? Did you try to point out the positive aspects of the team, despite its record? Absolutely. There was always a chance to win. The Kansas City game of a couple years ago is a good point. Lets face it, we shouldn't have won that game on paper. KC was undefeated and we were "average" in our wins/losses at best. BUT, on any given Sunday, our boys could win.
8. Do you like to watch football when the Bengals aren't playing? Sometimes, but I dont' go crazy to make sure I see football.

If the Bengals WIN the Super Bowl, Sam's heart might not be able to take it!
-
TO is nothing but BS!

I agree with you in principle. But the reality about an award that is based on perception is that higher profile players from higher profile markets that have major performances in nationally televised games against the only undefeated team leading to their first loss... well, you get the point.
Odell is getting plenty of national coverage. The Bengals didn't have the MNF games this season, but we do have one of the feel good stories of the year.

Alex Smith is doing what he is told to do! He's gonna be a SupaStar some day!
"Alex, drop the ball early and often but make sure it looks like you suck. If you can do this, not only will you have a career in acting when your football career is over, but we can get Reggie Bush"

I wouldn't mind giving Teyo Johnson a look at TE. He started off with a lot of potential and never met it in Oakland, and bombed when he went to Arizona. However, I don't think it's fair to grade him on how effective he was in Arizona. That would be like blaming Roy Williams for sucking in Detroit!
I'd like to see about getting Langston Moore back in strikes too at DT. He's at least as god as our guys at DT.
At safety, it might be interesting to look at Keion Carpenter and Will Demps.

I think it was being able to get better Buffalo Wings than BW3s has!

Marvin got one-year included on his contract after last season; he's signed through the 2008 season.
Does that include the one year extention he got after his first season? Mike Brown has stepped up to the plate after each of Marvin's season and given him a raise and another year. I suspect he will do more than just one year after we hit the playoffs.

That is my favorite site to read each week. Do I take their fantasy advice really seriously? Not really. Do I enjoy my reads? HELL YA!

8-8 after going 2-14 and a decade of losing seasons PRICELESS
No losing seasons in 3 years PRICELESS
A trip to the playoffs for the first time in a decade and a half PRICELESS
AFC Champions in his 3rd Season PRICELESS
Banishing the "Bungles" PRICELESS
Get the picture?

There's no way that song is by Blessid Union of Souls. Perhaps by one member of the band, but certainly not by the entire crew.

LOL He seems to forget the Bengals do need some more pressure on the QB, a safety who hasn't blown out his tires, and more depth in front of our starters on the defensive line, but I love reading their takes on the games.

Willie and Levi have a good chance based upon the non-fan votes.

INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY BY COURT OF LAW!
That's right, any punishment being handed down "swiftly" right now is wrong. He has done nothing wrong at this point according to our law. He is innocent until he has his day in court.
-
LOL Considering the competition, or lack thereof, that the squirrel is up against, if he loses this poll it's sad.
-
Wonder what Peter King is gonna say...we didn't beat them well enough?????
Nope, he'll say the Lions look like the new Bungles and keep about how bad our past is just to say something negative.
Then, when we win the superbowl, he will say it was a fluke, and it took us 15 years to get there....
-
Walshfan, are you kidding me? Mikey already has the new contract on paper with another year and some more money for Marvin. Marvin won't look at it until after the Super Bowl!

Did anyone else notice that Kdub had a couple good blocks for Rudi yesterday, and could probably be groomed as a tight end with his size?
Washington 6'3" 216 according to Bengals.com but he looked bigger.
-
The INT was his fault. Any WR could of made that catch...but KW went up and decided not to catch it cuz he was afraid to get hit. He hardly lifted his arms up to get it. He could of had that, and because of him Carson could only have 9 int's instead of 10. But hey...he did make a pretty sweet TD catch. I would just wish he would get rid of the stupid squirrel dance...its the stupidest dance I have ever seen!
Put down the crack pipe. That pass was way too high to be caught. Even Odell probably couldn't have leaped that high to grab it.
Nice problem to have....a 4th or 5th string WR who can't even get on the active roster most of the season but gets his number called and makes big catches.K-Dub definitely went up and got on the TD -- a little time out make a man want to go get like he didn't before, eh?
As for his dance......K-Dub can dry hump the goal post for all I care, provided of course it doesn't result in a penalty
The Bengals need to tender him the restricted free agent minimum in the offseason if for no other reason than to get a 3rd round comp pick for him. But K-Dub has the chance now to show he deserves to be a regular WR on this team. I don't see Dopey Henry coming back next week and maybe Housh gets a game off to heal.
I agree. I loved the comments he made after the win about how even though he hasn't been given the playing time, he's still a part of this change, and it feels great to be a part of the turnaround for the team. He seemed quite humble and willing to be the #5 or #4 guy.

Rudi needs 102 yards to break his record set last year of 1454 yards. Who was the guy that played running back before Rudi? I forget his name.
Leon something or another wasn't it?
-
1. Ma'ake Kemoeatu -- Ratbirds. He is beast size.
2. Kendrick Clancy -- Giants. Has upped his price with a solid season. Plays low and is hard to move.
3. Ron Edwards -- Bills. Started one year before Sam Adams shouwed up. Has been injury prone and should be available at near minimum. He is huge.
4. Montsanto Pope -- Donkeys. Got lost in the Cleveland Broncos D-line shuffle this year. Cheap.
5. Russell Davis -- Zona. Torn bicep kept him out almost all of this year. But he's proven enough at the position.
1. Ma'ake - If the Ratbirds let him loose, perhaps he is worth a look.
2. Kendrik - Not as good as Thornton.
3. Ron - INJURY PRONE. Last thing we need is a guy we can count on to be injured.
4. Montsanto - Could be a good BACKUP. We need a starter.
5. Russel - Didn't Ohalete show you a defender from Zona isn't worth the salt on a plain bagel?
-
Squirrel had a decent game, and a couple of BIG TIME catches.
Too bad he still wants to dance after every catch.
-
They are undefeated. It isn't that presumputious if you think about it. Hell, we probably will do the same thing next year.
They WERE undefeated...... They aren't now. The champaigne has been popped in Miami.
Which seems more likely? Cincy or SD win?
in Cincinnati Bengals

Cincy will win out unless a game no longer has any meaning for us.
