We’re signing Fant, per Shefty. Bengals have waived UDFA TE Kole Taylor, presumably ahead of the move.
-
So long Zack Moss, we hardly knew ye... I can't wait for all the Mixon-hating, "Moss is the exact guy we need for our playstyle" jokers on twitter and youtube to weigh in now lolol.
-
Ravens TE Likely may miss some time.
-
So say we all!
-
It’s just the last few moves of the dance. Here we have the hold out progressing to a hold in. There will be a few more dips and pirouettes but he will eventually sign an extension, and it will have some token guarantees beyond the first year. Everyone can claim victory and our long local nightmare is over.

Eli Apple signed with the Chargers. Didn't even realize he was still in the league.

Marco Wilson got dinged. Now week to week. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/nfl/bengals/2025/07/28/marco-wilson-injury-bengals-defensive-back-hurt-training-camp/77249525007/

Round 1 (17): Shemar Stewart, DE, Texas A&M
HoosierCat replied to ArmyBengal's topic in Cincinnati Bengals
Not at all. If anything his agent should be applauded. He got Stewart the same deal every other player who accepted this language got. In other words, he did his job. The Bengals could have, and should have, done this from the start. If they had, none of this drama would have happened. But they had to try and swing their little dicks around and weeks of bad press and distraction was the result. If there’s a little bitch in all this, they’re in the Bengals’ FO. -
Scroll up. It was cramps. You are way behind.
-
One down. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45824885/shemar-stewart-bengals-hammer-home-language-reach-deal Long story short: bengals did what every other team who wanted this language in did, give Stewart a little more up front to make it go down. Could have done that months ago. Oh well, at least that’s over.

OT: JFC, Death, take a break, will ya? Malcolm Jamal-Warner, Ozzy Osbourne, Hulk Hogan and Chuck Mangione ALL this week? Enough already.
-
Well, he gave up the Cap’n Crunch but apparently missed the memo on drinking water. Turned out to be cramps. https://bengalswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bengals/2025/07/24/bengals-myles-murphy-leaves-practice-cart-walking-off/85357678007/

Ya I watched both, the comparison is hilarious and spot on. Nice work.

Well, you're in luck then: Miller Lite is celebrating its 50th anniversary by offering 50,000 free beers at bars across the United States.
-
That's even funnier now that I found that the new helmet is sponsored by Dude Wipes. No, this is not a joke. That's a link to USAtoday, not a rickroll or something. The Browns really are now brought to you by something to wipe your ass with.

Day 1 report. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/nfl/bengals/2025/07/23/bengals-training-camp-observations-defense-won-day-joe-burrow-offense-nfl-preseason/85342935007/ D on point O not Chase Brown getting lots of snaps Perine looks like his old self
-
Yeah, sorry about that. For the record, I was one of those who wanted to keep Joe. Moss still has an opportunity here, but his injury last season really gave Chase Brown a chance to shine, and he did. It'll be an uphill battle, imo.

BJ Hill (foot) still not ready to go. https://www.si.com/nfl/bengals/news/bengals-unique-training-camp-plan-veteran-bj-hill-01k0qrhn179p

To me, the Stewart thing has now reached farcical levels. Both sides are completely dug into positions that neither can defend without sounding foolish. Stewart's camp sounds like a toddler complaining that their friends got dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets the last time they went out, and they only got normal-shaped chicken nuggets and they aren't going to eat them even though everything but the shape is the same. Meanwhile, the Bengals are out here now claiming the clause is no big thing, that it will never be used except in the case of absurd hypotheticals...so they are making a big deal out of it why again? In the annals of dumb Bengals contract disputes, this takes the cake.
-
In the biggest non-surprise of the offseason, Hendrickson will not be reporting to camp today. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45793481/trey-hendrickson-report-bengals-camp-amid-contract-stalemate Things are reportedly going nowhere fast.
-
Well, as far as public opinion is concerned, when Mike is out there saying this “silliness” is about a clause concerning behavior that he thinks is not “going to happen ever,” I don’t think he’s helping the cause.
-
Well, Mike did say that he wants the new language in Stewart’s contract because he doesn’t want to have to pay him if he goes to jail. Because apparently that’s a concern for some reason. Jail. Why they drafted the guy if they are this worried he’ll go to jail, I dunno, but maybe now that they have 12 GMs they won’t do that any more.
