  1. New mock from Reid at E$PN today. With the 13th overall pick (ugh) the Bengals select: I’m pretty sure they can retain Irwin if they want since he’s an RFA. Not sure what Boyd’s market will be given his age. Possession guy pushing 30 doesn’t scream big bucks but sportrac has a market value of 3 years, $45 million on him so what do I know, the league is so awash in cash I guess. Injury or no Higgins is still probably gone.
  2. Hope everything is ok. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/lions-release-marvin-jones-after-wide-receiver-announces-hes-stepping-away-for-family-reasons/
  3. Baby: Current probabilities of winning the AFC North, via ESPN Analytics: BAL -- 50.7% CLE -- 24.9% CIN -- 19.4% PIT -- 4.9% https://www.threads.net/@bbaby41/post/CyyQjhsLpXb/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  4. Brown sounds positive about playing, so good news there. https://www.si.com/nfl/bengals/allbengals-insiders-plus/orlando-brown-jr-eager-to-get-back-on-field-continue-o-line-growth-were-progressing-really-well
  5. And the Minny game, for the same reason. All the division games are must wins and same for pretty much all the conference games.
  6. Just for the record, the Bengals are currently 10th in the AFC. https://www.nfl.com/standings/playoff-picture The positive news is that at the moment the teams between them and a wild card slot are the Jets, Texans and Bills. The not so positive news is that right now the Ravens, Browns and Steelers are all in and the Bengals win no tiebreakers with them at this point. So absent a plain old better record the Bengals are locked out of anything higher than the seventh spot at the moment. Obviously things can and will change but they have a lot of work to do if they want to make the postseason this year.
  7. Yeah, whatever room for error there was this season appears to be already spent.
  8. Well that was a shitty bye week. Not one iota of help. No Deebo for SF and we get them on a short week, so I guess that’s something. I wish they’d done more than just lip-flapping last week to get better, but no dice. Here’s to a double OT game tonight!
  9. Just pathetic. Exactly the kind of game that makes me wonder why I even watch this shot anymore.
  10. Congrats to the Cleveland Referees on the W
  11. Colts getting hosed
  12. Oh look utter crap call 2
  13. Utter crap call
  14. Oh bullshit
  15. That’s 200 percent a fumble
  16. Lol way to go colts!
  17. Clowns rolling
  18. Big catch should have kept him in bounds tho
  19. Wow Lions suck.
  20. Colts suck.
  21. Well looks like Detroit has reverted to form. Go Colts!
  22. In case anyone wants to talk about other games this week.
  23. No Deebo for the 9ers game. https://www.threads.net/@bbaby41/post/CyrPZC8uNkl/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  24. So anyhow, Bengals are off but the rest of the division is playing. Lions @ Ravens: easily our best chance for help. Go Detroit! Browns @ Colts: lol Clowns in a walk. Steelers @ Rams. I’ll go Pitt here. They’re not that good but LA is awful.
  25. There is a good column today in the WaPo that I think hits on a lot of what we are discussing here. Gift link around the paywall here. But the gist of it is that what we ae seeing with the bengals offense isn't unique, it's happing all over the league, because defenses have finally caught up to offenses. How are the doing this and how can offenses respond? Well, if you have been reading this thread you know the answer already. So yeah, the No. 1 thing they should be doing during the bye is looking at ways to run it more. How, I don't care. Put more on Trayveon, give Brown a shot, sign or trade for somebody, I don't care. Hell, give Captain America a few lugs for once.
