  1. And Denver gives it right back…
  2. Hey think of all the sleep you can catch up on now.
  3. Perine with the td in Denver, clowns fumble next drive…
  4. Unsurprising. He brings nothing in terms of game day benefits. Never has. Browning was adequate. A few nice throws, one dumb mistake. Playcalling did him no favors. Too much trying for the big play. Oline the usual feast or famine from play to play. Run game abandoned before kickoff. D couldn’t get off the field all day. Third and 8, third and 9, third and a million, didn’t matter. DJ Turner had a couple nice plays and I think Murphy got a sack so a few individual highlights, which is about all there is left to look at this year. Up to 15 in the draft atm, see how the rest of the day goes.
  5. Taylor needs to find his inner Dave Shula. Lou needs to channel Chuck Bresnahan. And most importantly, Browning needs to follow in the footsteps of Akili Smith.
  6. Burrow officially put on IR today.
  7. Some really good thoughts from Joe here.
  8. But that’s just it, as an ERFA he can’t leave as long as the bengals tender a league minimum offer! The Bengals could set a price in draft picks and his agent shop him around. If anyone bites it’s a simple sign and trade. It will never happen if corse but it’s a fun fantasy to entertain until reality comes crashing down.
  9. An idle thought; nay — not even so but a mere flight of fancy as insubstantial as a early morning mist… Jake Browning is an ERFA in 2024. Ponder for a moment his value were he to lead the team to the playoffs…or even the big winter dance? Yeah, ain’t gonna happen but still…
  10. And six months later…El Stinko Grande officially named starter over Nick Scott. https://www.cincyjungle.com/2023/11/22/23972673/jordan-battle-starter-strong-safety-bengals-news-lou-anarumo

  12. Yeah it’s gotten pretty freakin thin at QB all across the league this year.
  13. Tee would not be a luxury signing.

  15. Stripes, Army, am I gonna have to come over there and whack both of you upside the head? We want Browning to suck! Picks, fumbles, sacks, you name it, he better deliver. All wins at this point do is push us down the draft board. And looking at the schedule, even average play might get the Bengals 3 or 4 more wins. Pitt’s locker room is in meltdown, and both Indy and Minny are without their starting QBs too. An 8-9 or 9-8 finish buys us the worst of all possible worlds: no playoffs but a draft pick in the second half of the first. Get out there and do your worst, Jake! Make us all proud.

  18. Chase Brown eligible to return. Plitt signed back to the PS as QB3. https://www.bengals.com/news/bengals-roster-moves-quarterback-signed-practice-squad-drew-plitt-chase-brown
  19. This season certainly hasn’t done Tee any favors. And it looks like another bumper crop of WRs in the draft next year, too. He will still have a market and is still going to get paid, but maybe the Bengals can still be a player. Sportrac puts his market value at 4 years, $63.7 million, or just under $16 million a year. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cincinnati-bengals/tee-higgins-47628/market-value/ That’s doable imo.
  20. I doubt they get high enough to have a shot at Bowers, but who knows he could slide as the draft hype machine gets going. First question is what happens in March. They have potential holes at DT (Reader), OT (Jonah) and WR (Higgins, Boyd). Right now Sportrac puts the market value of each of those guys around $15 million/year. Some a bit more, some a bit less but that’s the range. And the Bengals do have an estimated $70 million in cap space. I would say the Bengals need to address two of those positions in FA either with resignings or quality outside FAs. Ideally I re-up Tee and DJ, put what I can on the table for Boyd but if he can get more elsewhere, god bless, and give Jonah a gold watch and a hearty handshake. Then I target OT in round one — and after I ID my target player I’m not shy about moving up to get him.

  22. Bengals move up one spot to 17.
