  1. Incredible...but true. But he missed. ...part of his pre-season learning curve.

I am so pleased with the Thurman draft.....he is a steal, no one can argue that!

In terms of impact players, he is probably one of the best immediate production draft picks we've had since Takeo. Sure, Madieu, Landon, Steiny and Justin Smith all contributed early but I think Odell surpasses them in terms of immediate impact.

  2. Admiring the demise of the Ravens is a sweet thing. Boy do i dislike the Ravens. I might even run on the field and steal the ball from Boller if I had the chance....

The funny thing is that the worse the Ravens do, the more the possibility exists that they could be in the running for Leinhart.

How funny would that be...Palmer, Rothlisburger and Leinhart in the same div?

I personally think Leinhart will go to the Titans with the 2nd pick but now I'm way off topic.

  3. Viera is cut.

With the line all banged up, looks like we could see more EG at C. Prolly smart to sit K-wash and activate an extra lineman vs the Ravens.

As for Miller, it may be a few weeks till he see the field, if at all. I do not think Caleb has the wheels to play safety.

  4. JB-

Not a hypcrite in the least. I'm saying that the guys actions only contribute to the stereo-type for people with weak, stereo-type driven minds who tend to think that way....

I love WV. Spent alot of time there, from Slatyfork, to New River Gorge, to Henry Clay State Park. I wrote it because nothing could be further from the truth. Not taking a shot at WV. Ok? My bad if it came off that way.

  5. My first reaction to your post is to ignore it, like I do most idiotic things but I guess sometimes you just have to call out the sheer dickheads in the world.

No....it was not funny. It was not hilarious. It was not cool. It was a perfect example of the type of dumbf**ks who drink too much at games and act/do completely moronic things. It is this kind of crap that got a Bengal fan beat to hell in Jax. Same problem, different way to channel the "liquid courage".

If this is really your friend, he is facing a serious multitude of charges. Whatever temproary "Fame" he may thnk he has, he will be hard pressed to explain how "funny" it is when he has to include it on his next job app. or in n interview.

If he is your friend maybe you can explain to him how he disrespected the game today, made fools of the city and the people who live(d) there. You can go further to explain how he re-inforces the stero-type that Cincy is a low-class bunch of hicks who are one paycheck removed from moving back to Parkersburgh, WV and their old trailer.

If he is really your friend, then you'd better explain to him that noone at Lambeau would do that to Carson Palmer.

If he is your friend, maybe you'd better spend some time examining how comfortable you are hanging around with a guy who will be forever known as the "f**king cock-head" who ran out on the field to f**k with the game, now that the Bengals finally are on their way....too bad your friend is going to be left behind.

Get a life, Pablo, and maybe choose better friends.

  6. I don't know if I agree. I'm trying to recall the last time Rudi "battered" anyone...been a while, for sure. If a hole is there, he gets deent yards and it usually take more than one guy to tackle him. But other than that he has disappointed me.

  7. Maybe the Pitt game was not enough of a wakeup call.

GB is a poor, poor team and the Bengals, despite another amazing rash of INT's wins by a TD as GB is driving at the end of the game....

I am not seeing much offensive rhythm or defensive discipline. Palmer struggled vs a very poor GB def.

Hey, a win is a win, no one is going to give it back...but this team did not play that well, barley well enough to win vs a really poor GB squad.

Tons of work to do if this team is going to challenge the Pitt or Indy...

  8. Rudi hesitates at the line more than any starting RB in the league. He ran backwards 8-9 yrds once again. What a disappointment.

He is simply not fast enough to bounce it outside. For someone that is considered a "Pounder" he shy's from the line frequently it is almost unreal. Does the coaching staff see this? They must and whatever they are doing to address it is not working.

Brat's playcalling does not help matters, nice run on 3rd and 5, what a dips**t play.

  9. Culpepper 5 INT

    Orton 5 INT

    Favre 5 INT

That is damn amazing. THe run d still needs mega work, but this Passng D is lethal.

Had the O even clicked a bit...this game gets out of hand. Even field goals would have added 9 more to the bottom line, converting from take-aways.

  10. Of those Chad will face, McCallister is probably a bit better. Clements (BUF) and Surtain (KC) are no slackers either.

Harris is among the best cover corners in the NFC, though I think Newman (DAL), Hall (ATL) and Sheppard (PHI) are probably a bit better. Antrell Rolle was off to a good start but got injured.

So far, I think R. Mathis has done the best job of covering Chad, help or no help. He is very underrated in my book.

  11. It was called in (TD) and there was nothing "indisputible" about any of the angles or images I saw. He may not have gotten his other foot down at all but it was called a TD on the field. Either way it was a hell of a throw and catch.

Had he been called OOB or incomplete, and we'd thrown the flag, there was still nothing indisputable to reverse to a TD.

LET THE PLAY STAND!!!! oh well....

They did miss the Perry fumble. It was clearly a fumble, so they gave us one back right there.

  12. Maybe this is a coaching flaw we are uncovering.

    Hear me out...

Take Belichick. He takes guys who have the stuff on the inside first. Heart, guts, desire, grit...call it what you want. There is a reason they have been so dominant, even through injury, etc. He has a team full of guys willing to do WHATEVER it takes to win. They are all good football players but the bottom line is that they want it more. Not so much flash, or potential, but dedication to getting the most out of what they have.

The situation with Geathers/Askew/Clemons/Powell and previously Moore...and on to other guys taking up space, like Washington, Reggie Kelly, Schobel, etc seems to be that they are kept around for the decent talent they have but lack a little in the motivation/heart/desire department. I think they need to change-up how they evaluate prospects...

  13. On review, he churned for the yards, he wanted it more. Noone can dispute the heart on Bettis. His desire and determination has made him what he is, it certainly is not his pure physical ability. It is innate, not coached..

BUT...has anyone seen a worse game called for spotting the ball? I mean, how many times did they spot the ball a full yard, sometimes two, beyond where it appeared the ball carrier went down?

  14. To be perfectly frank about Pollack: I watched the game as closely as anyone. I clearly saw Odell flying around, Ohalete trying to make plays, KK stepping up when the runner got tyo the second level but I can hardly recall a down when Pollack had an impact, either by making the tackle or by forcing a play using alignment or leverage. To me, he disappears once on the field, certainly not the same energy or speed he displayed in college. Part of the learning curve, sure, but we are nearing the midway mark. Time to produce...

Funny, how we actually spent time discussing cool nicknames for him a while back...should never go any further than "freaking rookie".

  15. I've posted earlier that our biggest game of the year is probably @KC.

Let's not overlook the game at Detroit. Garcia back with Mariucci and a decent running game is no walk in the park.

Of the items that NY lays out, the JAX/Indy struggle will be very interesting, given the disparity in schedule toughness the rest of the way. Jax has a real shot.

The west is a crapshoot. Nothing would surprise me there, even like if the Raiders stromed back to win the division. Playing/winning without Randy forced this team to solidify and quit leaning on one guy. Their D looks tough and Jordan seems to be getting going. Marty will prevent SD from realizing thier full potential. KC's D will fall apart and Denver still has Jake at QB.
