I respect your response but you have got to admit that it is a little funny that a Bengals fan questions another fan bases' loyalty.
Obviously in your case, you haven't hid under the sheets for 12 years and that is outstanding and I commend you for it.
All Im saying is that dont criticize Raven fans for griping about their own team. That is what fans do. I also think it comes down to expectations. Basically everything your boys do at this point is to be considered gravy. You haven't had 8 wins since '96 I believe....
While down here in Bawlmer, when we lose there are definitely chicken littles that jump ship and start panicking. And I really am not defending those yahoos.
Its just that if the Ravens win 10 and miss the playoffs, we ill be extremely disappointed because we as a fanbase have playoff expectations.
Im not so sure you guys would feel that way.
Again, this isn't a knock on your team, god knows Ive maintained all along (3 weeks really) that you have a great head coach and I will therefore never put anything past your team.
I know its fashionable to hate the Ravens but I dont want to hear about how we make excuses and how we eat our own. Because that isn't true.
The best team will win this division and I will be rooting for them come January......

It's amazing how many excuses the Ravens have for losing games. People can say all they want about expecting the same old bengals, but that just shows that Brian Pillick can't motivate his team (A loss to the Raiders shows that as well) As for the second game it helped when a good portion of the Bengals team was sick with the flu, and it was in Baltimore and the end of a three game road trip! But the Bengals lost, so Baltimore thinks they are the greatest thing since sliced bread.....oops

The first game was luck and the second game was an ass whipping.
What did Chad Johnson do last week?? How many stiff arms did Dillon give out to Ray??

OK I haven't jumped ship yet kids!!!
I've had this conversation on here before, we are still one of the 2 youngest teams in the league. Therefore, we are great at home but we have our moments on the road like yesterday. It was just like the Pittsburgh and 1st Bengals game. Now we can all argue the merits of the "true talents" of our team but I will always contend that the 1st game you saw us we thought you would be the same old Bungles and the second time we were ready for you....
We get up for big games and dominate and then we play down to the level of our opponents, which I believe is the sign of a young team.
We can play great defense for weeks at a time but then we have lapses. Granted our defense played well yesterday but we here in Baltimore expect greatness out of our defense.
BillyBroome: No Ravens fans are jumping ship, just because we criticize and moan about a loss doesn't mean we are bad fans. If Im not mistaken some of you fans on here were calling for Carson Palmer last week!!!!

EGADS!!!!!!! you can imagine my dismay when I woke up since I hate the Jetskins more than any other NFL franchise.

Chalk it up it to the Ravens being the red-headed stepchild of the NFL or just bad luck but the "formula" they use isn't an exact scientific formula. Its more of people's opinions and bias'.
All that said, I certainly wouldn't be hoping for a 4th rounder if I were you.....time will tell I guess

As far as remaining schedule, we haven't beat Pittsburgh in almost 3 years, that has me a tad worried...
Hopefully our defensive buzzsaw continues all the way through January.

I have said before that I like to talk smack and last nite was no different but as I said before the game, both of our teams can make the playoffs and this is a rivalry that should only get better with each game!
Not to beat a dead horse but the team Kitna beat in October was not the same Ravens team today.
Also why was Corey Dillon wearing a coat in the 2nd quarter?? Brandon Bennett was your best runningback yesterday.

Look guys, I respect your team, you played well for most of the game but let's be honest, as some have said Marvin is in Year One of rebuilding. I think we all know he will be upgrading some talent at linebacker and in the secondary. You have Justin Smith and Thornton and Simmons but after that....
We have Ray, Boulware, Hartwell, Suggs, McCalister, Reed, Baxter, and Demps. We are just too deep no smack intended
Again you beating us in your house three months ago was basically a fluke. Reed drops and interception and everything goes right for you.
You are so right about only being a game back but when its mano v mano, you have to know Ray Lewis & Co will win.
You guys can still catch us or Denver or Miami, Ill be the first to tell you that.

You won't get any argument from me about the Steelers, sh** we haven't beaten those folks in damn near three years.
I think Marvin Lewis is building a "program" that will serve you well in the future and he learned the majority of his organizational skills from my boy Coach Billick. The Ravens are already in Year 5 of the program with one ring to show for it.
Im fairly certain this will be a competitive rivlary as long as the head coaches remain as they are in about 12 hours!!!!!

To all the Ray-Haters, once and for all listen, the boy was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He contacted the overzealous Atlanta Prosecutors before he headed out of town for the Pro-Bowl to cooperate with them and they locked him up on the spot with no solid evidence...
The charges were bogus, they had no case and they settled out as soon as possible, true he wasn't acquitted but he wasn't convicted either. So please just get over it, he's on the field now and you get to watch him dominate every sunday.
So just sit down and enjoy the game sunday.

Like I have said before I was once a Bengals fan in a previous lifetime and you do have our defensive coach from 2000 and I do actually like Kitna and Warrick so I do respect what you boys have done this year.
