membengal
If Peter King can do it (and Geoff Hobson for that matter on occasion on bengals.com), then so can I. Particularly since I am bored and training camp refuses to hurry up and get here.1. I think Chris Henry is going to make a huge contribution to this team this season, particularly in the red zone. I foresee matchup problems aplenty for opposing defenses on jump balls to Henry on one side and CJ running slants on the other. 2. I think Peter Warrick will be healthy enough to be a factor as the slot receiver.3. I think Rudi Johnson goes for 1700 yards this year and 14 touchdowns. That is if DPM does not take him out in game 10 in outright frustration at his steady excellence.4. I think part of Johnson's success is going to be the contributions the team gets from a healthy Chris Perry, who will spell Johnson enough to keep him fresh and give the team a third down back of note.5. I think the defense will improve to middle of the pack in terms of points allowed.6. I think it will be enough of an improvement to get this team to 10 wins.7. I think I am surprised in people's boredom on this forum that someone didn't suggest moving Pollack to SS - just because they seem to have suggested moving everyone else to that spot. I think for all of the panty-bunching that has gone on this off-season, we will all end up being pleased with the work the team gets out of the SS position this season, be it from Herring or someone else.8. I think the presence of Bryan Robinson and the re-shuffled line is going to pay immediate and rather big dividends for the team.9. I think I am glad that Marvin Lewis so clearly has his hand all over what this team does. Tell you what Pushy, I would not be so inclined to lay all this credit at ML's feet if Mike Brown had had any kind of success in the pre-ML days. He didn't, so the credit I give Brown is for hiring ML and getting out of the way. I think this team drafts and goes after free agents based on ML's chief input, after listening to all others.10. I think I am thrilled with that.11. I think this season it will be beyond cool to be a Bengals fan again, and some teams are going to get ripped to shreds.12. I think that will be fun and may even bring a tear to my eye. In a manly sort of way.13. I think I am more than glad I stuck it out over the last 14 years. 14. I think this team is going to the playoffs, but if they come up short again, I think that the corner has long since been turned, and a Super Bowl win is in this team's future before the decade is out.15. I don't think I have ever felt that way before.16. I think there are only 14 days until training camp starts. I cannot wait.
Wisk
I think THIS POST ROCKS! You go Membengal....I agree on EVERY point except Peter Warrick....He is DONE! His lack of focus and a developing Chris Henry leave Warrick on the sideline (or another team's sideline)! BENGALS ARRIVE IN 2005!

joshh967
Some very interesting thoughts there man. The only thing that bothers me is moving david pollack to safety? I dont think he has nearly the speed to do it. He'll do just fine at linebacker

Happily, it is not YOUR Things I Think I Think list. Feel free to start one for your team in smack talk.

The Big Orange
Great Job...MembyMine are as follows...10. If Kelly (Barbie's little sister) Washington makes the team-and that's a big "if"- he will be a complete non factor.9. I think Chris Henry won't be much of a factor if the top 3 WR's stay healthy (next year he'll pick it up, and the 3rd year he'll shine).8. Clemmons, Moore, and Powell will prove to be good depth on the DL. 7. Either Schobel or Perry will goble up lots of short yardage receptions.6. I think Rudi running for more than 1500 yards will have more to do with line health and opposing D's then his improvement5. I think if we don't shore up our kicking and punting returns with a legitimate threat, we will lose more games on field position like we did last year vs. Pittsburgh.4. I think our D will be better than the Ravens, but still a ways behind the Steelers.3. Keiwan Ratliff will have the 2nd most INT's this year (1 behind Tory)2. Odell will lead the team in tackles.1. We will lose in the AFC Championship game
StripesNTn
1. We will lose in the AFC Championship gamehate to say it, but i would be thrilled with that, sure i would be disapointed at the time, but hey
Spain
I think! 10. I will never be able to tell my wife her ass looks big in her favourite jeans. 9. Birds will eat my new batch of marijauna plants. 8. I will continue to get to drunk on the weekends and end up in the whore house. 7. My dog will keep jacking off on everything in my house, including my pillow(that sucks when you lay your head down and you hope its piss) 6. I will will still obsese about football because Im married. 5. I will read 1000 more David Pollak post before the season starts. 4. I will never find a way to get the Bengals games here till they go the playoffs. 3. Bush will keep pissing the rest of the world off and make the rest of us hated. 2. I will never Iron naked again.(ouch) Drum Roll 1, Janet Jackson should of had enough balls to show both of her tits, what a rip off.
derekshank
1. We will lose in the AFC Championship gamehate to say it, but i would be thrilled with that, sure i would be disapointed at the time, but hey Sure, you would be thrilled with that now, but if that moment comes, you will not believe you were able to make this post. In Marvin's first year, I was so disappointed we didn't make the playoffs, because we had a very real shot at it.However, in the offseason, if someone had told me the Bengals were going to go 8-8, I would have pissed myself. We were 2-14 the year before, and none of my expectations were anywhere near that. Some people here believe the Bengals are going to the superbowl, but most of us are hesitant to even to guarantee a playoff berth. So yeah, that AFC championship game seems like it would be more than enough to make for a lot of happy Bengals fans (including me, that expects them to lose their first playoff game if they make it). But by the time that would happen, we would all have gotten our hopes up, really believing we could go and win the superbowl, and we will be disappointed about the entire season. That's just the way it goes. 31 teams walk away from the season disappointed, and none of their fans can be truly pleased with the season at hand when they say "Wait until next year"

I was hoping to stimulate some more positive conversation. I have gotten weary of the passing-the-time-worrying threads. Then, just when I don't think I can get any more weary, two panties-in-a-bunch over CJ/Rosenhaus re-emerge. Swell. This board desperately needs some actual news to chew over. I politely invited you to take yours to smack talk. Based on your affiliation and the general relentless of you in that environ, I don't put a whole lot of stock in anything you type. membengal
I've posted more in the other forums than the Smack Central, still, I really doubt you can accept a Browns fans opinion on anything. Two points:1. You might stop to consider the effect of responding to various posts with the witty rejoinder "fart noise" has on how you are overall viewed in the other forums; and2. My main point remains...of course you don't think he's that good, you are a fan of another team. If he were to actually pull off something like I guessed at above, I would be surprised too, everything will have to come together right for that to happen. At any rate, I yield to your desire to be respected despite your senseless need to repeatedly defend your very bad team in smack talk. And, in my lifetime, I have known a Browns fan or two who did not annoy. But they were indeed few and far between.Peace.
Who?
Lighten up, seriously, I've realized that I am hated on the board just because of the fact that I am a Browns fan. I'm so sorry I ruined your day by posting "*Fart Noise*". Also, I didn't realize it was senseless to defend the team I love and have always loved, I should probably burn in hell for it. Thanks again for being an a**h***!

It's not a Browns board. And, my words have been measured and reasoned with you. You instead have gone low road, as I would have expected, and straight to name calling.Much appreciated.
