GROIIIDayton Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 If this guy is still there in the 4th round I will be screaming if we don't take him. He runs a 4.3 and looks to me like the next Steve Smith. He hasn't played football in two years because he was a professional skier. He is going to be a steal though. Quote
kingwilly Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 The issue with Bloom is his experience and his knee health. Colorado used him on returns and bombs quite effectively. His hands are a ? mark...as is the fact he hasn;t played for a couple of years. He also has injured his knee several times in skiing and IIRC a couple of times in football. An interesting prospect but unless he runs like a crazy 40, he may not even get drafted. da boss Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 I would like to see him on the team as a punt returner but i would not take him that early. I see us taking a gamble on him in round 6. Quote
Stripes Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 What TBNT siad Ditto. This guy seems like a classic rookie free agent kinda guy. If his speed is as impressive as all of that, but hasn't played in a few years, I would object to drafting him anywhere... too big a project. He'd be worth a look afterwords obviously. Quote

kentjett Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 6th or 7th round gamble, no higher. He hasn't proved s**t besides he prefers to be a pro skier rather than a football player. He don't seem to have the mentality to play football at the NFL level. Quote
GROIIIDayton Posted February 10, 2006 Author Report Posted February 10, 2006 he will be good. He has great speed and I could see him climbing draft baords after the combine. He will be dedicated to becoming a performer. He has a great attitude along with the work ethic. I would love to have the guy and hope it happens somehow. I hope you guys are right though and we would be able to get him with a 6 or 7th round pick. No way he is a free agent pickup. Quote
kentjett Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 I haven't seen too much of the kid but if your this high on him and he runs a 4.3 forty, he's worth a gamble. We definitely need to draft a WR that can return punts because Ratliff sucks at it. Quote
