jjakq27
I say hire him right now. The guy has too much to offer as a coach and a teacher.
ratmandu
I say hire him immediately !!!The man is an offensive genius !!!He would be an ace in the hole in case Brat were to leave for a head coaching job.The Bengals would already have the pieces in place to either move Zampese up to the OC job and make Sam the quarterback's coach or they could make Sam the OC.I prefer the latter as I think Sam would be the absolute best offensive coordinator in the NFL !!! LB51
I believe this would cause a bit of discomfort for Marvin. Sam is held in very high regard around here and rightly so. But his presence could cause a lot of people(fans and media) to second guess Marvin's decisions. Hypothetically, If marvin were to make a decision that cost us the game, there would be someone out there that would say Sam should be the coach. Or if next season we, God forbid, miss the playoff and have a losing record, 700 WLW would dedicate an entire night on sports talk to talk about firing Marvin and making Sam the head coach. These are Marvin's Bengals and I believe that he needs people here that will buy into him as well as his system. Don't get me wrong, I think Sam wyche was a helluva coach and I would love to see the guy on the sidelines somwhere again. I just don't believe the time is right for him to be here. It would be a difficult situation on the both of them.Just an opinion
WillisXPress
We kinda knew he was gone... the only reason he was there is Mularkey......I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with Miami to teach whatever young QB they draft
WhoDey42
Wow that would be sweet to have him back on the sidelines in Cincy. I think Marvin would think about hiring him too.
