rwalling
So I read this morning that the reason the Reds are holding onto Kearns is that the Cubs may be willing to trade Mark Prior for a package including Kearns. So...You be the GM Prior for Kearns and prospect(s)?I would do it in a heartbeat. The same is true for a Dunn for Oswalt straight up deal. No brainer, make the deal. Stripes
Prior worries me with all of his injuries, but yeah I'd take either of those trades without a second thought. Neither of them seems likely though, because...well... Kearns and Dunn kinda suck, while Prior and Oswalt are All-Stars.
bengalindian
Kearns has injury issues, and I'm pretty sure Dunn doesn't suck with his two straight seasons with 100 RBIs, 40+ HRs, and a gazillion strikeouts. And lack of sac fly's.What? Strikeouts are bad? Especially with men on base? Oh darn...
bengalboomer7
Even in baseball, where the fantasy trades are more likely, I don't see either of those ever happening
Whur CHad At?
Dunn for Oswalt is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. The Astros would be getting robbed, esp. since they don't know about Clemons future w/ the team yet, and they won't till March. No Just No Are you Kidding?! CBin2k7
I would do the deal in a heartbeat. Prior is not nearly as injury prone as Kerry Wood. I am not sold on Austin Kearns.

Kirkendall
So I read this morning that the reason the Reds are holding onto Kearns is that the Cubs may be willing to trade Mark Prior for a package including Kearns. So...I'd take it. Honestly, nothing changes if Prior's injuries don't improve. And we lose Kearns, who's been often injured himself. But, if Prior has a non-injury plagued season, uh-oh. I know the cubs have been floating Prior's name out there for awhile now, but kinda brushed it off as a Reds fan. We just don't that type of thing here. Stripes
What? Strikeouts are bad? Especially with men on base? Oh darn... Bad they are indeed... Dunn annoys me so much... He might be the worst situational hitter to ever finish in the top three in home runs. Seeing him hit a single is like seeing Freel crack one over the stadium wall. Kirkendall
like seeing Freel crack one over the stadium wall.Or remaining sober for back-to-back days... <--- Ryan, that's bad.
