bengalskyspy
Has anyone else noticed that the DDN is heads above the larger Enquirer? The Enquirer should be embarassed that the smaller market paper has much higher quality that they do when it comes to sports coverage. The beat writers for DDN seem to be a lot more clued into what is going on with both the Bengals and the Reds. What's your take?
GROIIIDayton
I've always liked the DDN better for coverage on all sports.
ShulaSteakhouse
Chick is light years better than Curnutte - who just offers the most obvious of articles that anyone here could write seemingly. The Enquirer is a joke and it's sports section has been as such for a long, long time. I literally do not even read that paper for anything.Ludwig's been around for a long time and has all kinds of contacts - one reason for his ability to come up with rumors and insider info and observations that people like Curnutte cannot. The_Next_Big_Thing
Curnutte is a homer. Ludwig is an asshat. Personally I can't stand either newspaper for Bengals coverage.
LB51
The DDN definitely has the best 2 beat writers for the Reds and Bengals. I don't believe that Ludwig is that much better than Curnutte, but he is better. And you can't say enuff about Hal McCoy. That man is a baseball writing legend. As far as total sports coverage, I'd have to choose the enquirer. Living in Cincy, I really could care less about UD, Wright State, or any other sports teams in the Dayton area. I like the Enquirer's coverage of local prep sports and the coverage they give college basketball for all area teams.(UC, XU, IU, UK, OSU)

Their Reds coverage is much better, the Bengals coverage is better and there is no contest on their Miami coverage.Wanks.
