Stripes Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 It seemed like a solid foundation was being set in the farm systems, but I am certain the majority of this forum will be pleased at this news. Quote

CBin2k7 Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 a little surprised by the timing, but can't really say that I am disappointed. I think the new owner wants to put his stamp on the team rather quickly. If this was December I would say Narron would be gone also, but you never know. Quote
AMC Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 Narron will finish the season, then it's "see ya". I think Castellini wants Lou after the season. No loss firing O'Brien. Ehhhh.... Quote
Kirkendall Posted January 24, 2006 Author Report Posted January 24, 2006 Narron will finish the season, then it's "see ya". I think Castellini wants Lou after the season.I'll bet Castellini will give his new GM the choice... I say that b/c he really emphasized the GM will have a commanding role on all things baseball. The owner will only deal with the business aspect. If that remain true, that alone would be better than the meddling Linder. Quote
skyline Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 Excellent Best news I've heard in a while. Quote
DesperateDerelict Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 How many people did O'Brien thank in his EXIT speech? 6,000,000? Quote
