benglsdrumr
"It's safe to say all four teams still alive in the NFL playoffs have earned the right to be one victory away from playing in Super Bowl XL. There are no flukes here -- nobody benefited from a lucky bounce or an opponent's injury"I'm gonna smack Gil Brandt upside his head!! did he miss the whole cincy vs. pitt game?! Stripes
Yes it is annoying to read that, but this topic has already been bickered about for weeks. Let's look foward to the offseason and 2006, after which we'll be hoisting the silver trophy. This crapola won't matter much then.

bengalindian
It's alright. We all said that it would be impossible to bear the fact that the Bengals lost to the Steelers in their first playoff game in 15 years. But we can bear it, because we all know that things would have been different if it were not for an unfortunate injury. These "experts" are paid for their comments, and usually they pull this stuff out of their ass, so whatever.
Turi
Gil Brandt is a complete idiot. I don't know how many articles of his I've read and thought what a dumbass. He'll say the most obvious things. For example lets say the Patriots are playing Houston. He'll always start off by saying "I really like New England in this matchup. On the offense I like Brady and Branch...." He gets paid for that! And this...Check out his week 17 picks...http://www.nfl.com/fantasy/story/9120353
