Spain Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Ok look at our O. One of the best in the leauge. So why fire Brat? Ok you dont like his play calling. Will he calls what the D gives him. Its also the play calling that got us AFCN championship. So yeah fire the guy that has brought Palmer to this level. Thats real Intelegent. OK fire are D cordinator, Thats stupid. This D lead the leauge in turnovers. THe D line is undermaned. M Williams left Bresh in a bad situation. This was the first year we drafted D. So lets just start over again. Yeah right thats retarded. Yeah right when the D turns the corner. Some people are just retarded. Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Because people are STUPID?This is the first post of Spain's I agree witH! HELL HATH FROZEN OVER! Quote
Stripes Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Bratkowski led one of the most talented offenses in the league to that lofty ranking... A lot of coordinators could have done the same. His situational playcalling just plain sucked. He doesn't know how to play with a lead, and gets too pass-happy when trailing.I'm a Bresh supporter though. He's only had one season to work with very little, due to injuries as you said. Give him a healthy starting lineup and a few more additions, and then we can judge him. Quote
Spain Posted January 11, 2006 Author Report Posted January 11, 2006 He is getting his job done, if you change him your going to have growing pains. Would you reall want to start over. The cheap shot cost us our season not Brat. Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Holy crap, two statements in a row from Spain I agree 100% with.Next thing you know, he'll say something like the two reasons to watch tennis are Anna Kournikova and Maria Sharapova! Quote

The cheap shot cost us our season not Brat. He is getting his job done as in he is running the offense up to it's potential on most occassions. He has just made some critical errors in my opinion that have proven costly. He is like the Kyle Orton of this offense. He does enough to make it work correctly, but can be prone to killing the entire operation with the snap of a finger. You are right though, losing Brat could have its problems too. The team would have adjust to a new scheme, and personnel might have to be edited accordingly. I don't want to start over, but honestly I don't think we'd have to. Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Remember, Brat isn't calling all the plays out there, Carson Palmer has called a lot of them on his own, WITHIN BRAT'S OFFENSE.People complained about Rudi not getting enough carries, but Carson checked off run plays to passing plays. Not even Rudi complained. Quote

Not even Rudi complained. Can't argue with you here. It seemed like the majority of the time Palmer called an audible he ended up handing it off, but I don't recall for sure. If Palmer is guilty of part of the problem as well as Brat, then he deserves part of the blame. The difference is that Brat is expendable. If a new offensive scheme more centered around establishing the run were to be emplyed, I'd assume Palmer's audibling and no-huddle running would reflect that change. Quote
Spain Posted January 11, 2006 Author Report Posted January 11, 2006 Very good point about Palmer running the show now. I just dont want to see whole sale scheme changes if Brat goes. I wouldlike to see someone promoted. Also remeber Kitna made a living in the NFL off of knowing brats system. Kitna might follow him. Quote
