Freqman Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 You gotta know who wins the first round games before we can start picking second round games. If we got the four seed and Pitt got the six and both won, Pitt would play Indy . Too early to speack of second round gamesBB, you're right. I forgot that the playoffs aren't a pure bracket system after the seeds are set. Indy get's the lowest seed no matter what. (been too long since I had to pay attention to the playoffs...)But I don't see Pitt beating NE. So that would put us against Indy in round 2 if we're the 4th seed. The number 3 seed would keep us out of Indy until the AFC championship. Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 Agreed, however it still seems like a crummy thing to do to Kitna. That bieng said I think Jon has the skills and desire to hand KC a lossHow is it a crummy thing to do to Kitna? You're basically telling him Jon, we know you can do it for us AGAIN. Remember, Jon Kitna is the guy who threw that 77 yard touchdown pass to Peter Warrick, and led the team to the win against Kansas City last time. Quote
schweinhart Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 I'm really hoping they don't lose 3 in a row here at the end, it will really take away from the season's feeling off success and good vibes.3 losses in a row would suck but the last one would be the only one that could really stomp the good vibe all year for me.Last week was the first time the Bengals lost a game vs. an unquestionably lesser opponent. But they have let other equally bad teams like the Clowns, the Texans, the Packers -- all home games BTW -- hang around and stay in the game until the end with the reality of a loss just a play or 2 away. That's what bothers me the most -- this team plays with the lead most of the time but too often fails to deliver the death blow. They lack any consistent killer instinct and without the drive to bury other teams they will continue to make themselves vulnerable to defeat. Regardless of the Chiefs game -- which doesn't matter at all really -- I won't be satisifed with the outcome of the Bengals 1st playoff game in 15 years unless they come out -- win or loss -- psyched out of their skins and skulls with energy exploding all over the place and wicked focus for every single play. If they get beat then because another team is better, so be it. But lay it all on the line and leave it on the field for God's sake. Quote
schweinhart Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 of course they are going to sit, Cinci is a bunch of pansies, and are scared to play pittsburgh. I would be too. YOU LOST TO THE BILLSLosing to the Bills is reason enough to be scared to play anybody But will see what happens, there, whogivesaneffwhoyouareorwhatyouthinkbecauseyouareobviouslyanidiot. Quote
