There was a lot of talk about Lamont Thompson a couple of weeks ago, and then I ran across this thread, which I thought might be worth posting...

Oh, sure...I wasn't introducing this thread as damning evidence or anything. I just find it amusing when fans from ther teams start talking about our former players.

Again, I've never claimed that Lamont Thompson was a great player...just one who was far better than several players who were kept while he was cast off for nothing. And I'll repeat the point that even if he never earned a starters position with the Bengals he could have provided much needed depth at both safety positions, an idea that sounds pretty attractive right now. He's also played some CB and LB for the Titans so his versatility seems well established. Beyond that I don't have much to add other than the fact that the Titan message board thread contains the names of about 10 players that their fans want cut...including three current starters in the defensive backfield. Hardly sounds like an ideal situation, ehh?

As any fan of the circus could tell you...nobody exits a clown car with their dignity intact.
