Stripes Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 www.nfl.comThe current fan poll on NFL.com asks which celebration dance of week 15 was the best. Maybe the Suirrel Dance doesn't look so stupid after all! Quote
Kazkal Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 it is the best dance in football... thing I like is he doesn't do a new thing each week he sticks with it just like jamal anderson and the dirty bird.... riverdance is 2nd best Quote
bengalboomer7 Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 It's horrible. I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but did anyone else see him do the first down deal with his leg Quote
rizzy Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 He had that dance built up from the whole year. It was the best I have ever seen him do it. I was having a christmas during the game and I got up in the middle of it and started dancing it with him. I then realized I was doing it in front of my entire family. Quote
Stripes Posted December 20, 2005 Author Report Posted December 20, 2005 It's horrible. I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but did anyone else see him do the first down deal with his leg Certainly! This week he got up a bit disoriented and pointed his leg in the wrong direction. Quote
boomerman Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 Stupid!! It seems to me all the time he spent on the bench should have taught him that he's expendable. He's a nobody. Quit the hot dogging. Quote
7/11 Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 i always detested "the squirrel", but i was rollin' yesterday. Quote
walshfan Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 based on his willingness to go the extra yard in all phases of his game to get more reps Id say the dance will be done once a year if someone is injured... Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 LOL Considering the competition, or lack thereof, that the squirrel is up against, if he loses this poll it's sad. Quote
bengalindian Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 Hey, this might have been his only chance to do it this year, so might as well make the most of it. The best I've ever seen him do it, too. Quote
xjjeep90 Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 I liked it because he saved it for the TD. Kelly has something to offer with Henry out and he needs to make an impression that he is going to do everything to help the team get into the endzone and possibly earn himself a spot on the game roster. And yea, I think it was saved up for this moment. He deserves it.I voted on NFL.com as well. Quote
cmidy Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 The dance was very funny! What is worse Touch Down celebrations or threats by opposing teams like "We gonna be physical and hit them in the mouth"???? Quote
Stripes Posted December 20, 2005 Author Report Posted December 20, 2005 What is worse Touch Down celebrations or threats by opposing teams like "We gonna be physical and hit them in the mouth"???? Sounds to me like a case of comparing apples to oranges... To answer your question, I suppose I am annoyed by the whole "punch in the mouth" cliché, so that gets my pick. Quote
kayaker0678 Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 i thought it was a little much. it wasnt good cuz it wasnt chad. Quote
Black'n'Orange Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 i thought it was a little much. it wasnt good cuz it wasnt chad.It was good cuz it was the Bengals!I dont mind endzone celebrations, the first down celebrations are rediculous. Quote
GROIIIDayton Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 Is there a gif where we can watch it again? That was the best one ever. Quote
USMC203 Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 Trade him for a couple of late round picks in the draft. Quote
Spain Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 It depends on the game he is having. If its a first down in a close game shut your s**te up. If your in the end zone do it! Quote
BengalByTheBay Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 The new wrinkle unveiled in the Squirrel for 2005 is the spin move...(and maybe the fact that it goes on for about 25 minutes now). I saw the spin in pre-season after a TD and it was tight. The Squirrel itself is u-g-l-y, but it has definitely improved. I hope it gets him some exposure so his trade value goes up for next year. PhunkE1 Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 KW is a restricted FA next year if my memory serves me right. I imagine we'll tender him the minimum offer. I doubt anyone will be giving up a 3rd round pick for him, so I see him on the roster for 1 more year and then hitting the road.I've never been a KW fan. That could be because I'm a UGA fan and can't stand any Volunteer's. He's always seemed more concerned with celebrating than anything else. Quote

The Henry matter only increases the probability that the Bengals will offer a tendered contract to Washington but I've never been a strong believer that another team will surrender a draft pick in exchange. More likely is the idea that Washington plays one more inexpensive season as a Bengal, I think he'll cost something like 640k, before moving on. That said, my best case scenario would have him agree to a longer contract, probably two years, in exchange for a modest signing bonus. Quote
