Dan2330 Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 In recent weeks I have heard the tv guys call him 'Hercules' and on another game they called him 'O-Dog'. Personally I like 'O-Dog' better, anyone else have suggestions? Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 Personally, I don't think a guy who is known just by his first name needs a nickname. That's stupid. Did Madonna need to be known as Big Cans? Did Sting need to be known as Chickmagnet? Dude, he's ODELL! That's enough. Quote
BlainThePain Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 Thurmanator is the lamest nickname I have heard him called. Its like the geek from American Pie that calls himself the Shermanator. A nickname should come from his teammates and coaches if he is going to have one. I'm just going to call him Odell. Quote
OWB4 Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 ODOG Hercules....Opposing running backs and quarterbacks just call him 'Sir' Quote
HairOnFire Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 I've called him O-Dawg for months. And quite frankly, spelling it O-Dog lacks a certain crunkish flavor. BTW, despite my Vanilla Ice style pigmentation I've seen fit to give most of the Bengals hip-hoppity crunk tags. For example.... Chris Henry - King Tut. Don't get it? Well, just look at any photo. walshfan Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 How many Odells are there in the NFL? NONE!His name seperates him from other lb's for that reason alone..Just ODELL is enough... Like LT back in the day...Why does everyone think players need a nickname all the time?childish... Quote
rizzy Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 he will always be TKOdell in my book Quote
lando griffin Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 After recently watching Menace II Society, O-Dog goes with him pretty well, because he's a crazy motherf**ker who just doesn't give a f**k. But my favorite is what my roommates and I call him--Brother Odell. Quote
Spain Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 I like(the guys who signed his contract and didnt destroy his rookie year, who is not water boy) Quote
San Antonio Bengal Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 Odell. There are players that have nicknames and there are players who don't need nicknames. Players who are called just by their name or initials are a step above those with the silly nicknames. Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 "Dude, you got an ODELL" Quote
bengalindian Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 How about Odellian? It has a Roman gladiator touch to it. But I don't mind Odell either. Quote
BengalPappaw Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 Okay -- I'll play I like "Bulldog" But, "Leading tackler" is still okay by me. Quote
LB51 Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 How bout D-ROY! As in Defensive Rookie of the Year! WHO-DEY! Quote
