walshfan Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 I know every QB will have an offday now and then...I watched him closely and he seemed to have no spark in him ..His throws lacked zip and his voice was very hoarse. Is it possble that he had the flu yesterday? Not making excuses..just wondering if that contributed to his lackluster performance.. CJBestInAFC Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 I think a lot of his problems came from the wind yesterday. Watch next week if he has the same problems as yesterday then maybe it is Palmer, but I think the wind had a lot to do with it. Remember back when the Bears played against SF when it was really windy? The only way to move the ball was on the ground. I think this game was very similar type of conditions as the game in Chicago. benglsdrumr Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 actually, it looked like Chad wasnt trying as hard as he normally would. Whatever the case is, we still won and can win the division next sunday against the Lions where I hope Carson and Chad return to their normal hard playing unstoppable selves. Quote
skyline Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 No need to make any excuses. I'm confident that he will bounce back next week. Quote
walshfan Posted December 12, 2005 Author Report Posted December 12, 2005 No excuses meant... He had a poor day and Ill accept that fact..Was just wodnering if he was sick though...maybe we'll hear about it maybe we wont... bengals are so private and all... Quote
Stripes Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 I think his poor play was a combination of the wind and an excellent defensive gameplan by the Browns. Quote
