walzav29 Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 1. Tony Dungy has a history of coming up short in the playoffs. It was that way in Tamp and that way in Indy.2. Bill Cowher has a history of coming up short in the playoffs. Some critics say when the coaching gets cerebral he loses a step.3. Jake Plummer. It's like my brother told me while watching Scot Mitchell quarterback the Lions. He'll screw up, just wait. He can hide for a while, but those interception spots will show eventually. All of this leaves 2 teams. The Pats (injuries) and then the great Bengals. There you have it! Quote
AMC Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 I do think Plummer will come down to earth...the way he is playing is the exception, not the ruleThe wild card in this whole discussion...the freaking Patriots....I'd rather play the Steelers, Colts, Broncos, Jags, Chargers, anybody, except the Pats in the playoffs, even with the injuries...although I think we could take them!!!!! I think that we will still get the division. Quote
turningpoint Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 f**k no, we played the broncos and pats tough last year.the pats are missing way too much, now their center is done for the year.3/5 of their O line will be backups.Trust me I want to play them out of any of the division winners if were stuck as the wild card.Brady this brady that, but if that o line can't block he wont do s**t, same with dillon. How great would it be to see the bengals come into "Corey's House"( from the visa commercial) and just mandhandle those guys in cold foxboro in middle of january, where no1 ever wins.Corey take his uniform and tosses it into the razor(gillete stadium).Hell thinking about this has me rooting for the wild card!#5 spot sounds great!if were #3 were at home week 1 having to play probably the jags, chiefs or chargers, no thank you those guys are better then the pats.give me #2 or #5.#6 is death, no1 beats the steelers or Broncos on the road in round one. Stripes Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 I honestly would prefer the number one seed. Since that is obviously unlikely, then yes, the #2 or #5 spots both sound enticing. I think we'd slaughter the Patsies in a playoff game, but it is still a scary prospect. I think we all know that the Broncos and Steelers are not true playoff threats, so it's all about those Colts, if we can survive the playoffs ourselves. Quote
