Hoxworth Bengals Blood Drive

Who: Cincinnati Bengals and Hoxworth Blood Center

What: Community Blood Drive

Where: Paul Brown Stadium, East Club Level (free parking on the East Plaza)

When: Wednesday, November 9, 2005 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, November 9, 2005 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Cincinnati Bengals and Hoxworth Blood Center will "score one" for the patients in local hospitals by hosting the Fourth Annual Bengals/Hoxworth Community Blood Drive at Paul Brown Stadium presented by Champion Windows.

All donors will receive a free Bengals blood drive t-shirt and be entered into random drawings to win Bengals merchandise.

Cincinnati Bengals players and cheerleaders will be present to celebrate this special day and mascot Who-Dey will make a special appearance. This years spokesperson is Bengals tight-end Tony Stewart. Tony knows how important giving blood is to our community, and encourages you to roll up your sleeves and donate.

Last year's drive attracted 165 donors. The goal for this year is 200 donors. Photos from the 2004 drive...>> Free parking will be available for blood donors on the east plaza level of Paul Brown Stadium.

BLOOD DRIVE: The Bengals/Hoxworth Community Blood Drive, which lasted until 7 p.m. Wednesday, established a high for a single-day blood drive in Cincinnati. Turnout exceeded 300 donors, according to Hoxworth officials.

When final numbers are available later today, the drive might have doubled the 2004 total of 166 donations.

Tight end Tony Stewart was the honorary Bengals chair of the event. Coach Marvin Lewis made an extended appearance at the drive, held at Paul Brown Stadium.
