Stripes Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 http://www.packersnews.com/archives/news/pack_23151508.shtmlI think this is a pretty good article. Apparently Chad considers Al Harris to be the best cover corner he will have to face this season. I am not sure I agree, as he will be facing Chris McCalister the very next week, but he would know better than I. Quote
kingwilly Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Of those Chad will face, McCallister is probably a bit better. Clements (BUF) and Surtain (KC) are no slackers either.Harris is among the best cover corners in the NFC, though I think Newman (DAL), Hall (ATL) and Sheppard (PHI) are probably a bit better. Antrell Rolle was off to a good start but got injured. So far, I think R. Mathis has done the best job of covering Chad, help or no help. He is very underrated in my book. Quote
jamesbrooks21 Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 I think Chris McCallister is overrated. With a front as good as they have been in the past it makes it much easier to cover. I'm not saying he isn't good, just not as good as he's built up to be. Quote
turningpoint Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 LMFAO at the poll on the same page, it makes me reminsce of the 90's here in cincy.here's the question. What record do the Packers have to finish with to have a legitimate shot to draft someone like Southern California Heisman Trophy hopeful Reggie Bush next April? choices.A. 1-15B. 2-14C. 3-13D. 4-12It's like they're rooting for the draft already. Glad it's someone else for a change...I am seeing alot of similar things in Browns forums..... Quote
derekshank Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Yes... they are rooting for the draft. They are not going anywhere this season, and to get a big-time play maker in the first 2 or 3 picks is sometimes the best thing that can happen to a team, rather than getting a mid-round pick every year, and never getting better.I don't think we have much room to laugh at them. If we didn't flat out suck a couple years ago, we wouldn't have gotten Palmer. Now things are looking good for us. All the luck to the Packers... I hope Aaron Rodgers works out, and they get a good pick next year. They're a class organization, and will by no means spend 15 years in mediocrity like we did. That said... I'm gald it them and not still us. Quote

As long as they cover him 1 on 1 nobody can cover him!Yes... they are rooting for the draft. But who knows how long Brett will be around for him to learn off of. Quote
