Lance Mcallister had this posted on his blog their are some interesting stats in there.

I am amazed that Carson is close to the record for the most back to back games with a QB rating of 100+.

TV Crew: Don Criqui and Steve Beuerlein. With a td pass, Steve McNair will pass Beuerlein for 62nd all-time in the NFL for career td passes (147).

What's at stake: Can the Bengals bounce back on the road or will panic set in with the fans with a loss? The gauntlet is just around the corner. Starting next week it's Pittsburgh, Green Bay, at Balt, Indy, Balt, at Pittsburgh.

The Titans attempt to win two in a row for the first time in 21 games. That is the 3rd longest active streak in the NFL behind Cleveland (30) and SF (27).

Here we go again: This is meeting #70 between the two franchises....making Tenn the most played opponent in Bengals history. The Titans lead the series 38-30-1....and have won 9 of the last 10. The Bengals are 11-22-1 as the visitor. Only 20 points separate the two teams over 69 games.....The Titans having scored 1,624 points and the Bengals 1,604 points.

Last meeting: Oct 31, 2004 at Nashville, 27-20. Billy Volek filled in for McNair. Albert Haynsworth sacked Palmer and forced a fumble in the final minute with the Bengals inside the Titans 10 yard line.

Home cookin: This will be the Titans 68th consecutive sellout. For perspective, the Bengals current sellout streak is at 13. The Titans have the 5th best home record in the NFL since 1999.

Youngin's: The Titans are turning over their roster. Only 11 players on the roster have 4+ years of NFL experience....the Bengals have 29 such players. The Titans had 25 players with 4+ years experience in 2002. The Titans have 23 draft picks from their last two drafts on the roster.....the Bengals have 15.

40 players on the Titans roster were drafted by the Titans..........the Bengals have 28 players on their roster that they drafted.

Tale of the Titans: (2-3) record. Wins vs Balt (25-10) and at Hou (34-12) Losses at Pitt (34-7), at St Louis (31-27), Indy (31-10).

Quick start: The Titans have outscored their opponents 34-14 in the first quarter this year. They have the NFL's 2nd best point differential in the first quarter since 1995.

Fishing for a win: Titans coach Jeff Fischer won his 100th game last week. He's the 34th head coach in history to do that. He has more wins (63) over the last six seasons than any coach in the AFC and ranks 3rd in the NFL. Did you know Jeff played in the same defensive backfield at USC as Ronnie Lott? He was a 7th round pick of the Bears in 1981. He was on injured reserve during the Bears Super Bowl run. He became the NFL's youngest defensive coordinator in 1988 at the age of 30 under Buddy Ryan.

Streakin': Carson Palmer's streak of 100+ QB rating games is at 8. The NFL record is 9 set by Peyton Manning. During Carson's streak he is completing 73% of his passes with 20 tds' and 7 ints. He has gone 14+ quarters since his last pick and 115 attempts.

Bengal killer: Steve McNair is 9-3 vs the Bengals. He has a QB rating of 103.1. He has 20 td's and only 3 int, while completing 59.5% of his passes. He has more td's vs the Bengals than ANY team in the NFL.

Titans rely on the TE: Breakdown of McNair's 111 pass completions:

WR-42 catches (38%)

TE-53 (48%)

RB/FB: 16

Carson's breakdown of his 116 completions:

WR-75 (65%)

TE-13 (11%)

RB/FB: 28

Opposites attract: The Bengals are #3 in points allowed (12.2) the Titans are #26 allowing (25.2). The Bengals are #3 in total offense (380.3), the Titans are #23 (310.2) The Bengals are #1 in turnover differential (+13), the Titans are #21 (-2)

Get me the dang ball: Despite his pleas......Chad is on pace to set a franchise record for yards in a season, 426 yards so far, on pace for 1,363. He has been the target of 42 passes this season.....2nd best in the AFC (behind Deion Branch).

Ahead of the pack: Rookie Chris Henry has 13 catches for 215 yards....more than any of the 12 wr's drafted ahead of him. (Thanks to Statman)

Rudi, Rudi, Rudi: Rudi has rushed for 75+ yards in every game this season, and 6 games in a row going back to last year. Cory Dillon never topped more than 4 straight games with 75+ yards.

Stop that run!: The Titans are the NFL's 2nd best team vs the run since 1995.....allowing just 95 yards per game. They have allowed just 3 100-yard rushers in 50 regular season games at the Coliseum.

Sack attack: Titans DE Kyle Vanden Bosch leads the NFL with 6 sacks. The Titans recorded 7 sacks vs Houston last week.

Achillies heel: The Titans are allowing opponents 5.7 yards per play.....and opposing QB's to complete 69.4% of their passes with 11 td's and 3 picks....and a QB rating of 112.7

They wear it well: The Bengals will wear white pants with white jersey's.

Flag on the play: The Bengals have been called for 57 penalties, their opponents just 40.

I was wondering what the record was, and I had no idea Carson was so close! How awesome will it be if he can get his name in the record books so fast in his career... I know it isn't the most well known record ever, but it is still pretty damned cool. B)

Go Carson, go go go!

If Rudi rushes for 85 yards and we score 17 points we win. I think the defense steps up big by slowing down the run and keying on Drew Bennett.

Also it would be nice to lower the number of penalties and get a big game from Washington and Walter if TJ is out again.

Speaking of TJ, I hope this is not another Bengals medical staff "misdiagnosis"....

Simply amazing. I had no idea he was so close to an NFL record. More than 73% of his passes in an 8 game stretch... and this with the fact that if you watch him, he is not afraid to throw the ball away. He doesn't seem to be a personal accomplishment kind of guy... and yet, he's doing it naturally.

A 3/1 TD/INT ratio in 8 games, and 11/2 on this season. I thought he was crazy when he said he wanted to make it a 4/1 ratio in the season. He seems like he will do better than that.

Hmm... any possibility that this is due to that guy throwing the ball to him? Any rookie honors he gets, he should give to CP. We won't be bad again for 10 years. Palmer is the man.
