We've read numerous power rankings from all types of sources to which none of us fully agree on.

Lets see what we can come up with as far as a true ranking according to our opinions...

Insatead of ranking all the teams which takes much thought and time I thought a TOP TEN would be sufficient...

Try and be nonpartial and rank them as how you think they's stack up against the team ahead or behind them..

Rankings will be 10pts for first down to 1 point for 10th.. very easy..

Ill tabulate the top ten later in the week for our own rankings.....

1. Indianapolis ....still undefeated.. look good on both sides of the ball this year..

2. Pittsburgh ... big win in San Diego this week... having Bettis back for third downs helps

3. Cincinnati ... close loss to a good team on the road....

4. New England.. wins over Pitt and Atl show they still can do it ...

5. San Diego... tough team ..losing on a last second field goal to Pitt is no disgrace.

6. Denver........ putting it together now.

7. Atlanta..... with Vick they are allways dangerous

8, New York... I like this team.. Eli's comin"

9. Philly.... very good team.. McNabb and To will get them wins.. defense has holes

10. Seattle.. solid team...Hasselback is really underrated imo...Go Shaun!!

1.) Indianapolis - Without question. I expect the defense to fall back to earth soon, probably this week against the Rams, but they are still the favorites to win it all.

2.) Pittsburgh - An excellent defense in every way, a top 3 running game, and a quarterback that is starting to shut up his doubters.

3.) Atlanta - Incredible running game, solid swarming defense, and Michael Vick.

4.) Cincinnati - Powerful offense, young but improved defense, and emerging Pro Bowler at quarterback. If they can stop the run, they will go as far as Palmer takes them. That could be a very good thing.

5.) New England - The defense is starting to look horrendus, but with Tom Brady at the helm, and Adam Vinatieri ready to end any game, this team can never be counted out.

6.) Philadelphia - A fluke loss in Dallas. This team is explosive on offense and opportunistic on defense.

7.) Denver - Excellent defense at all three levels, and talented offense. Will go as far as Jake Plummer takes them.

8.) San Diego - The big three on offense make this team worthy of mention. The defense is solid, but must improve in stopping the pass.

9.) Tampa Bay - When they can run the ball, they are what many expected the Ravens to be this season. With that defense, they will be in many games, and Brian Griese will have to play the Dilfer game.

10.) New York - Solid on both sides of the ball. Eli looks like he will be a stud as expected, and Plaxico Burress has surprised many. The defense is solid on the line and in the secondary.

Other teams that deserve mention - Jacksonville, Carolina, Seattle, Dallas, Washington

Teams that may find their way here soon - Oakland, St. Louis, Cleveland (yes, you read that correctly)

1) Indianapolis Colts- Best Defense in the league, with one of the best QB's ever? Duh!

2)Pittsburgh Steelers- Still the team to beat in the AFCN.

3) New England Patriots- Man, is anything going to stop this team from amazing us?

4) Atlanta Falcons- Schaub shows that he is the best backup in the NFL. Tough loss to a great team.

5) Cincinnati Bengals- Tough loss on the road, but showed great resiliency to overcome penalties and injuries.

6) Philadelphia Eagles- Still the team to beat in the NFC, but definitely showing weakness.

7) Jacksonville Jaguars- Show that with a running game, they can play with the best.

8) Denver Broncos- Defensive line shows that playing in Cleveland IS what makes a player bad!

9) Tampa Bay Bucaneers- Good defense, but with no running game, its hard to win.

10) Carolina Panthers- Delhomme to Smith all day long. They just need Foster and Davis healthy.

All of these could be top ten: Dallas, Washington, San Diego, New York Giants, Seattle

Once you get past the 6 spot, its pretty much a toss up between 10 teams for the last 4 spots in the top ten.

Indianapolis

Pittsburgh

New England

San Diego

Cincinnati

Tampa Bay

Denver

Atlanta

New York

Philly

Kansas City

I have to put New England and San Diego ahead of the Bengals at this point. I'd rank Atlanta with Michael Vick ahead of Cincinnati, too, but he's the Ken Griffey of football so I assume they won't have him for enough games of the season. I'd leave them where you have them. I'd put Tampa Bay between Cincinnati and Denver and I'd replace Seattle with KC. I basically agree with what you said about each team. I would certainly bet that the Super Bowl participants will come from that list.

1) Indianapolis - Peyton finally has a defense. They will win it all.

2) Atlanta - Best team in the NFC with Vick

3) Pittsburgh - Awesome D and running game

4) Denver - Fast DL and LB's. The snake may have finally figured it out.

5) Philly - Would be higher if McNabb wasn't banged up. Dallas game was fluke

6) New England - Injuries are starting to take toll. Brady can't carry them every game.

7) San Diego - LT. Enough said.

8) Cincy - Can move up as Defense matures

9) Super Bowl predictions are a reach, but they are in the NFC. Steve Smith is underrated.

10) Jacksonville - Very good D. OL needs to improve. FT needs to stay healthy. Byron needs to take about 40 mph off of his passes.

1. Indianapolis - duh

2. Pittsburgh - until someone other than New England beats them

3. Cincinnati - tough loss, but still a good team

4. New England - but not for long if they keep this up

5. San Diego - very dangerous team in a tough division, their record is misleading.

6. Tampa Bay - Still not sold, but at 4-1 its hard to keep them off this list.

7. New York Giants - #7 in my rankings, but #1 in my heart...

8. Jacksonville - They beat the Bengals, they must be good.

9. Atlanta - Am I the only person out there who thinks this may be a better team with Matt Schuab at the helm? I don't think Vick keeps it them that close to New England.

10. Denver - Will the real Broncos please stand up? No way the Redskins should have been able to play them that close in Denver.

Honorable Mention: Washington, Philly, Dallas, and Carolina.
