Dadraftnick
Does anyone have a clue what is going to happen at center if Braham is too injured or Ghiaciuc cant cut it??I think Brock Guitterez is out there, he does know the offence. There is Jerry Fontenot a little over the hill but ,he does know the offence.I think Geonardo DiNoppoli is out there, they tried to sign him as a free agent. There is Clinkscale, the guard on the practice squad who is a little short (6-3) for a guard anyway and could be groomed at the position. There is the possibility of trading WR K. Washington for a C, but trades never happen in the NFL. Ben Wilkinson is likely not to play until next year.My best guess is they start grooming Clinkscale now even if both C's are OK.What do you guys think? This is a what if. ... so nobody tell me how tough Brahm is.
HoosierCat
For some reason I think DiNapoli is hurt.Right now I think they are considering options. My gut says have "Iron Braham" and Bluto man center with Steinback @ No. 3 on the depth chart and look to shore up the guard spot with a FA (easier to find a good guard than a good center at this point, IMHO). But it really depends on Braham, I think; if he's iffy they may have to reach for Fontenot, or another vet center.
alleycat
Hobson responded to this in a letter on Bengals.com and breaks down the options pretty well:http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=4700
