Cincinnati Chargers?

from Peter "my first name says it all" King's MMQB column today...

5. Cincinnati (4-0). The Chargers have beaten four teams with a combined 3-10 record. We'll see about these Bengals in the next three weeks: at Jacksonville, at Tennessee, Pittsburgh.

:lmao:

Besides the typo, what's funny is that TB opponents have a worse record than ours (3-11 ), yet he still hold them above us??? Our margin of victory is better, our O has better stats, morwe takeaways. Noone will give Cincy legitimate props until we close the deal on Pitt/Indy.

No way is SD the second best team in the NFL, maybe at 5, 6 or 7 but not 2.

Well, if we win our next two then he'll be able to continue to say "Who have the Bengals beat?" Beating Jacksonville next week woul put them at 2-3 (Bengals opponents would be somewhere south of 5-13). Beating Tennessee (who play Houston on the road next week and will likely lose) would put the Titans at 1-5 or 2-4 (Bengals opponents would be somewhere south of 6-18!).

It's clear that while the writers will remain interested in the Bengals for the next couple of weeks especially while we remain undefeated. It won't be until we beat Pissburgh in PBS that we earn anyone's respect.

Nah... it's one guy. It doesn't matter who you play... you have to have some skill to win 4 straight in the NFL. If we played Chicago, GB, Det, adn Hou over and over all year long, we'd manage to lose a couple. That's the way the NFL is.

Peter King is just one guy. He promises to jump on the bandwagon one week, and then refuses to do so the next. The vast majority of the analyists are digging us right now. Most say we are the real deal, and Pittsburgh needs to watch their backs.

Don't let yourself get too bothered by one guys inflated opinion. He has to write things like that to keep his articles interesting.

Hell, the Bucs lost the game Sunday, but the refs ruled that an obvious catch, wasn't a catch.

And yes, SD definitely deserves to be #2 on the list, arguably #3 behind the Eagles.

Not a chance about SD. thier D is pourous and can be beat.

Thier O is top-flight but is a one-and-a-half trick pony. LT and Gates. granted those are two really good players but they don't have the WR depth.

SD also has Schottenhiemr as coach. I think he costs them games wiht his poor decision making.

SD is not in the same class as Indy, Philly, Cincy, or Pit but we will see this week as Pit goes to SD....
