walzav29
On the road, we should be 4-0, they'll be hyped. Think if it was reversed. Like the Broncos last year. It could just be one of those games. I'm sweating that one. If we could go into the Steeler's game 6-0 that would be huge for the grind that follows. Anyone else having Jaguar paranoia? skyline
Well, it's going to be a tough game, but we better get used to it. There are going to be quite a few of those coming up.We can play with them, no doubt. We'll have to be on top of our game, though.
San Antonio Bengal
I guess I must be the one person here who isn't skipping the Texans and thinking about the Jags game already.
redsfan2
They're all tough. There is no such thing as an easy game in the NFL on the road or at home.Looking at the Jags .... they've got a good team. Their defense isn't ranked as high as Chicagos' or ( i think ) the Browns. Their offense isn't as good as ours overall. They have a good running game, but that's not going to benefit them if they fall behind early. If that happens they'll have to pass and Leftwich has a bum ankle. Not bad enough to keep him out, but enough to take him out of his comfort zone. Bengals 34 to 20. skyline
I guess I must be the one person here who isn't skipping the Texans and thinking about the Jags game already. No, not at all. I'm more worried about the Texans than most people. They've had a bye week to prepare for us. Yes, they lost their O-coordinator, and they should be in even worse shape than before, but you never know when a team like this may use that as a rallying point, and pull a great game out of nowhere. These are the games we've always lost in the past. Remember two years ago, when we came so close to the playoffs? Losses to teams like Arizona and Cleveland are what kept us out of contention that year. The Texans have a talented roster, and I don't expect the first two weeks to be the pattern for the rest of the season.
PhunkE1
Houston has seriously underachieved so far. Andre Johnson is a legit stud and DDavis is electric with the ball in his hand. I just don't see there O-Line giving Carr time to make the throws needed. I think the game will be closer than some think, but I still think we'll win pretty handily (34-20). I see Rudi having a big game in this one. I'd be suprised if he has less that 120.As far as Jack is concerned this will be our first real test. Jack. has the best tackle tandem in the NFL. It's going to be hard for Rudi to get anything going up the middle, and as we saw in the series he missed in the first game Rudi is what stablizes this highpowered offense. I think it's going to be a pretty low scoring game. I think we'll prevail, but I see the score being something like 17-13.
AMC
things change so much week to week in the nfl, i am not overlooking houston one bit....especially since they are coming off a bye week....beat houston, then we'll talk jax
NYBengalfan
Honestly, I dont think that anyone will sleep on the Texans. Yes they have stuggled, but they did play us well at PBS 2 years ago. But seriously though we are a good team and good teams win games that they are expected to win, Bengals roll over Texans 30-13. I hate to look ahead, but we as fans have got to get rid of the "Hope to win" attitude and expect to win. Remember we are a good team, we dont fear anyone, now its everyone that fears us. WE WILL BEAT THE JAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OrangeStripes
Im already enjoying the fact that we are 3-0, but not suprised. We have the strength and endurance that most teams didnt think we could bring to the table and i also agree with skyline with dealing with what is closer infront of us than what it farther. But it will be a good game to watch and we will come out with the win.
Spain
Another blow out, the jags will get blown out like chicago but worse. this O still has problems. they are going to get better every weak.
Bobcat Bengal
I guess I must be the one person here who isn't skipping the Texans and thinking about the Jags game already.Nope, your sure aren't. I was wondering the same thing. Everyone's so damn overconfident now, that I imagine most of them think we don't even play them next week! I had mentioned that in the FIRST Jaguars thread.Everyone is TOTALLY overlooking these guys.Except for the Cincinnati Bengals themselves. Now, if they are doing the same thing the majority of the fans here are doing, they DESERVE to lose.Lets give them some credit, I mean they WILL be coming off a bye week, so I'm sure they've had some time to work out the kinks, new OC or not. Stripes
The Tesxans should certainly play better than they have their previous two games, and I'll respect them to that level. However, they are still a bad football team. If we lose to them at home, then we have no business discussing playoffs.

Doesn't sound like the best DT tandem in the league to me. They are second in the league against the pass, however they are middle of the pack as far as sacks. Sounds to me like Rudi and Chris perry are up for a big day.

He did have a good average, but he had a 36 yard runWeek 2; Edge had a big day against them, but anyone who saw that game would know that they were dropping 8 in coverage to stop the pass leaving large running lanes for Edge to walk through.Week 3; They held Martin in check for 67 yds. on 18 carries. You can go by stats if you want, but it doesn't back up your arguement if you don't know how to interperet them.

That said, isn't it likely we get simliar respect with our offense?
