Another checkmark for Chad's list...

The Bears gave Chad Johnson his due after the chatty Bengals receiver caught two touchdown passes in Cincinnati's 24-7 win Sunday at Soldier Field.

"He is as good as advertised," said cornerback Charles Tillman. "He's a Pro Bowl receiver. He talked trash and he backed it up and at the end of the day you've got to respect that. He said what he was going to do and he some TDs in there. As a man, you've got to respect that."

Tillman struggled mightily on Sunday. The third-year pro got beat on Carson Palmer TD passes of 18 yards to Johnson and 36 yards to receiver Chris Henry and committed a 36-yard pass interference penalty that led to a field goal as the Bengals grabbed a 17-0 lead.

"I gave up a couple big plays," Tillman said. "My deep ball skills were a little off. I saw the ball (on Henry's TD) and I just lost it. I was right there, but that's an excuse. Basically, I gave it up. It was a good catch on his part. You've got to forget about it and go on to the next play."

Johnson (3 receptions for 77 yards) clinched the win with a 40-yard TD after the Bears had closed to within 17-7 early in the fourth quarter. The fifth-year pro was wide open down the left sideline after cornerback Nathan Vasher whiffed on a chuck at the line of scrimmage.

"With some coordination between him and Carson, I think they knew almost what I was going to do and I just missed him at the line," Vasher said. "He made a great move and it's hard to recover from something like that. He got separation and made a great catch."
