HairOnFire
We agree on everythign except the Bears being cupcakes. I wouldn't call them that...should we win, hell yeah. But, they are tough at home and they have a very good defense. They could prove to be a pretty good test. No kidding, I was thrilled the Bears won big today. There's no way I would have wanted to play that team without having something on film to gameplan against.
HairOnFire
Blowout or not, 15-or-however-many-penalties-they-had isn't acceptable. I won't try to make excuses for it, but if there's an upside to it I think it might come in the form of a wakup for Pollack to line up properly and wait for the snap. In addition, Palmer seemed pretty upset with his two delay of game penalties and a burned timeout due to how long it took to change plays at the LOS. It was what it was. Too many penalties that were easy to overcome in a complete and total blowout. Most were out of character, others were just lessons young players need to learn, and if you've been watching other games it's not like you haven't been treated to some sloppy football from most other teams. Clean it up. Move on to the next challenge.
redsbengalsbucks
The last time we started 2-0 was 1989, and we all know what happened then.I6-0 and Super Bowl XL Champs! I thought we started 2-0 in Lebau's first full season, maybe I'm wrong?

Yeah you are right. We started 2-0 in 2001 under LeBeau. We beat New England and Baltimore. Both these wins were home games, but the second game was supposed to be on the road at Tennessee that year, but it was rescheduled due to the terrorist attacks. Benzoo
They also won the first two games under Dave Shula.2-0 means alot, but it also means nothing. I'm as optimistic as anyone, but they've still got alot of work to do.
HoTbOy
The Bears do have a good D, but there O is not up to par yet..remember they only scored 7 points last week in WASHINGTON. If the Bengals get an early lead it could be trouble for Orton. The Bears O played with a lead for most of the day, so they knew HARRINGTON was going to throw, and I have to believe that the BENGALS O is far better that DETROIT at this point
The_Next_Big_Thing
The best part about starting 2-0 and having Palmer as an elite QB?What did he want to concentrate on after the game? His 3 TD passes? His 108 QB Rating? Nope. He wanted to talk about how he needed to correct his 2 false starts and his interception in the red zone. He wanted to talk not about 27 completed passes, but the 12 incomplete passes. What did Chad talk about in "Chad's Corner"? His big TD catch? Briefly. In more depth? His drops, again. What did he have to say? I have got to stop running before I have the ball. It's the same as last year and I need to correct it.The exciting thing about this team is that they aren't satisfied with a 2-0 start. They aren't satisfied with an at times ugly routing of the Vikings. They want more. They want continual improvement and their BEST GAME is yet to come. Marvin Lewis has really changed the attitude of the team.
tmai1323
4-0 is a guarantee, there is no reason we should lose any of the next two games... We might even be able to be 6-0.. Schedule is looking promising..
BengalszoneBilly
4-0 is a guarantee, there is no reason we should lose any of the next two games... We might even be able to be 6-0.. Schedule is looking promising.. I wouldn't say "guarantee" ever in this league. I would say that the chances lean in our favor. In some games heavily in our favor. Before the season started, I was extremely worried about the Minnesota game. Especially with the early Power Rankings that had them listed quite a bit higher than Cincinnati. (Note* These were also the same "experts" that also were calling the stinking Ravens a top 5 NFL team. Whatever...)Now I'm relieved to find that I had little to fear against the Moss-less Vikings. Going into Chicago I'm apprehensive, but a great deal more confident about the Bengals chances, as I'm sure the team is as well. In fact they're probably less nervous about it than me! I know Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson are about as worry free and confident as they come! :player:
