AGrizzlyBaer Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 hope that pennington finds his way again for you guys Quote
Stripes Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 The Chiefs are always tough at home, the Jets should be fine. I think they'll steal a win against New England this year, maybe even kill their home winning streak.Go Bengals, throttle Minnesota. Quote
bengalindian Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 If Chad performs as bad or even just subpar next week, will he be benched in favor of Fiedler or Quincy Morgan (Do you stil have him?)Either way, good luck, and good thing for the Jets, they don't have to play the Bengals til the playoffs, perhaps. Unless Morgan has has some previous experience throwing the football, I think you meant Quincy Carter.Oh well. Quote
LesterLyles Posted September 12, 2005 Author Report Posted September 12, 2005 I think he meant Carter. We shall see. Actually more than pennington's arm, it was his mental performance. he fumbled 7 times including secveral botched snaps. He actually threw for 260 yds and his Wrs dropped SEVERAL open balls. It was a piss poor effort from the whole team. I do think they will bounce back but still: I'm pissed! Quote
buck3y3d Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 I found it funny that New York changed their whole offensive scheme and coordinator, and now there is a big learning curve for pennington. A similar situation to what the Bengals had after changing QBs every year. Oh well, Best of luck to the Jets, unless they play the Bengals in the playoffs (or take a wild card spot). Quote

At least y'all broke up the shutout to get me one point! Quote
bengalindian Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 Hahahaha, I think I was on the cocaine Quincy CARTER sold me. Yeah, I feel bad for Nuge, he didn't look too good on that play, but what I've seen from the highlights, everyone looked bad, or maybe it's that the Chiefs are just that good. I hope its the former, because the Bengals finish the season in Arrowhead, and the Chiefs will be looking for revenge. Hopefully, the Bengals will be going for an undefeated season! Quote

When you see Nuge doing something like that and a guy like L. Coles dropping a sure TD in his hands, you just know its not your day. Thats when you regroup and get ready for next week. I'm glad that was in September and not November but after waiting 8 months, that kind of effort/performance definitely hurts. Quote
