membengal
Rudi Johnson had a great game, I expected it, he plays well vs the Browns. If you think im upset in any way over this game you are crazy, a win is a win, i dont care who plays as long as we win, in my opinion Perry starting and getting most of the carries would give us a better chance to win, but if we win in other ways im happy also. Also, I never said Perry would be getting all of the carries in this game, or anything like that, I just said he got the start.I call BS.If CP had played and had a great game, you would be here crowing. That's the reason you started the topic. Now to go collect a debt... Ditto on calling BS.DPM, Perry was awful on that first drive, and the team sputtered and did nothing. When Rudi entered the game, they found their stride. Perry is best used as the change of pace back exactly like they used him today. That's the way it should be on this team, because Rudi is very very very good at what he does. Of coarse I would of been extatic if Perry had a good game, but not if we lost. Winning is my number one priority. I will admit it, my ideal scenario would of been Perry running wild on the Browns, and us winning, but if Perry having a good game cost us a win somehow, I wouldnt of enjoyed it. Sox
BTW,don't get me wrong either.I don't care WHO runs wild.As big a suporter of Rudi as I have been,I would have zero problems with Perry running wild.
bengalbutch
Frankly, the bit about the untested Tab Perry returning kicks concerns me far more than who lugs the rock the first series.Tab looked good for his first game. The 50 yard return was sweet !!I wasn't impressed with Chris Perry, I didn't see all this speed and shiftiness I've been reading. O'dell is a stud. buck3y3d
Perry looked out of place being the everydown back. He doesn't really fit the power scheme like Rudi. He did look pretty good catching though, and could be a solid 3rd down back. I still don't think he can play everydown though. (Maybe eventually this will change)
HairOnFire
Rudi, Rudi, Rudi, RUDI!!!!! I'm with Joisey, Perry has me a little concerned. No, not Chris Perry. Sheesh, I can't even recall if he played a down. I'm talking about the other guy. Tab looks like he runs too upright on his returns and he has almost no wiggle. Despite the long return he doesn't look very sudden...which is what you want out of a KO returner. That said, I'll make no judegements yet since he's not handled the ball very much and he DID break one. Speaking of kick returns, I loved seeing Cribs get slaughtered on the opening return. Wow. jjakq27
gotta tell you DPM, it's stuff like your smiley face icon that pisses people off. this team is not better off for this.try rooting for the entire team, and not just the players you pleasure yourself to...So im not supposed to be happy that it looks like my favorite player on the team will get his first career start? Its not like Rudi wont play, but he will probly just be out the first series or something like that. I thought Dillon was your favorite player on this team.
