redsfan2
Got to looking at the Browns schedule for this year while I was looking at the team site. I think we've been asking the wrong questions ' Why are they so cocky " etc. Have you seen this schedule ????? Jeeezzz! It's no wonder everybody in the " dawg pound " is foaming at the mouth like they've got rabies.Opener - Us of course - differing opinions of how this will go ... but ..doesn't look good for the hometown boys@ Green Bay - Never easy@ Indy - No comments neededChicago - 1st win of the year ????????@ Baltimore - see " Indy " Detroit - Detroit probably can't wait for this game.@ Houston - Tuff team especially at homeTitans - toss up@ Pittsburgh - See " Baltimore "Miami - Win #3 ???????????@ Minnesota - Guys .... Don't go there. Jacksonville - Again .. a tough team@ Cincy - We'll see@ Oakland - See MinnesotaPittsburghBaltimoreThe only guys watching those last 2 games will be the coaches on the sidelines .... and Clevelands will most likely be hiding their eyes. That is just plain a brutal ass schedule ...... I don't blame anyone in Cleveland for being edgier than they usually are. Hell that'd ruin my year too.

Um....that's the same schedule as the Bengals have except 2 games, where we trade the Browns' Miami and Oakland for Buffalo and Kansas city. That's why people who've been paying attention to our schedule aren't completely confident in the team's chances this year.
Stripes
No doubt, DC Bengal, but the idea is that a similar schedule will be much more brutal for Cleveland. I think our schedule plays out well in our advantage by the way.

I think our schedule plays out well in our advantage by the way. Well, yeah, because they're a worse team. I will say, our NFC schedule could have been worse, and getting the AFC South isn't terrible either. That said, it would be our luck that the AFC North decides to get completely stout when the Bengals finally get decent.

Yes, the AFC North will be very difficult, but I am sure we can at least go 3-3 in the division, and perhaps even better. Pair that with a solid performance against the rest, and you have a playoff birth.

We'll be underdogs to IND and MIN, favorites to CHI, TEN, DET, and HOU, and probably near even with KC, JAX, GB, and BUF. I see us getting about 6-4 out of that. With 3-3 in the division, I see that as 9-7 which will be a crapshoot in the AFC. I personally think we need 4-2 in the division which means beating the crap out of the Brownies and splitting with the Ravens and Steelers. But that's just me. I think our schedule plays out well in our advantage by the way. same opponents but not really the same schedule. we will have homefield advantage for the toughest games. cleveland has no chance of winning in indianapolis where we play them at home. they won't win in minnesota either but we play them at home. also they go to green bay who we play in cincy. that schedule is rough but we just have to go to chicago and detroit which has to be an advantage. same goes for pittsburgh and baltimore. pittsburgh has the weaker teams at home like cleveland whereas baltimore is like ours and has indy green bay and minnesota at home. thats one of the reasons us and baltimore get in and pittsburgh stays home for the playoffs. Agreed on all points, and I believe we'll sweep Cleveland (I know it's a rivalry, but they are THAT bad) to earn that 4-2 in the division. If we can get to 10-6, I figure that'd win the division. I also expect a 7-3 in the stretch you mentioned.Maybe I'm just a homer.

Of course, talking about the difference of one game before the season starts is ridiculous as far as prediction goes, but I think that 9-7/10-6 difference this year is going to be huge in the AFC. So I'm basically worried because it could easily go either way. I just wish we had a few more cupcakes. Here's to Priest Holmes getting old, GB's defense completely falling apart, Jeff Garcia breaking his leg forcing Harrington to play all year (check), JP Losman being terrible, and Steve McNair falling apart. And Roethlisberger having a sophomore slump, Boller sucking as much as usual, The Brownie run defense to be just as horrible, and the rest of the AFC to finish no better than 8-8. (I'm sure that's impossible...somebody has to win the games. )
Who?
The past two years the Browns have had the hardest schedule in the NFL, plus the AFC North will be brutal this year. Of course i'm going crazy, lol.

Who?
Haha no way dude, I would ALWAYS take the wins, some Browns fans were hoping to lose our last game this past year and I had to yell at them.

This was really more to my point. For example ..... For our first 6 games, we face one opponent that had a winning record last year. That would be the Jags @ 9 and 7 ... or one game over .500. another opponent was .500 last year ... the Vikes, and as noted we get to play them at home. the other 4 all had losing records .... bad .. losing records. Clevelands first 6 games by contrast have them playing @ Green Bay ( 10 and 6 ) @ Indy ( 12 and 4) and @ Baltimore ( 9 and 7 ). They have us at 8 and 8 last year, and only 2 of the first 6 teams they face had losing records last year. That'd be Chicago @ 5 and 11 and Detroit @ 6 and 10. They face 3 really tough teams on the road, while we play one ( Jags ) that while pretty good is not on the same level as the Browns opponents. Absolute worst case scenario ... we're looking at 3 and 3 for our first six games ... 4 and 2 is imho likely and 5 and 1 is not out of the question. Cleveland is looking at the real possibility of being 0 and 6 .... 2 and 4 possible and, if ... big IF everything goes their way 3 and 3.All in all ......... Compared to Cleveland .... we're not in such bad shape schedule wise. Again ... as always ... just my opinion
