walshfan
Two great games this weekend..Ohio State - TexasI just dont see Ohio State moving the ball effectively against the Texas defense.I see Texas winning this one pretty easy ...Texas 20 Ohio St 10Michigan - Notre DameMichigan has an offense comparable to S. Cal's..explosiveThe problem with Michigan is they have NO defense to speak of..actually against a good team they'll look terrible.Notre Dame played a fundementally sound game against Pitt.Charley Weiss will have the Fighting Irish up for this game.. He'll attack the woeful defense of Michigan..Notre Dame 34 Michigan 31As I see it both teams will be knocked out of the National race this weekend. rizzy
Ohio State is not going to lose. A night game in the shoe equals a guarnteed victory for the bucks. Vince Young is going to be saying there goes my heisman canadicy when the game is over.
Stripes
I disagree on both games. I think the OSU defense will suffocate the Texas running game, and I have my doubt Vince Young can carry the team otherwise. The offense is so talented and open now, that I think we'll get a few solid drives or maybe breakout defense/special teams plays to ensure the win.Michigan's defense isn't all THAT bad. Last year it was excellent, and I don't think they lost too many players. Notre Dame may have finally beaten Michigan last year, but I don't see them starting their own streak. Weis's boys whooped on Pittsburgh, but I need to see they can do it consistently. That Michigan offense certainly is looking good, and I'm not sure the Irish defense is up to the challenge.Ohio State 20 Texas 17Michigan 34 Notre Dame
clevelandbengal
Ohio State - TexasI just dont see Ohio State moving the ball effectively against the Texas defense.I see Texas winning this one pretty easy ...Texas 20 Ohio St 10 I kinda see it the other way around. OSU offense is pretty lethal and dont see how Texas' can stop them. On the flip side I dont see how TExas will be able to score against OSU. I think OSU linebackers will put Vince Young in his place. I am only worried about Young scrambling like he did in the bowl game last year, maybe Hawk will take him apart maybe not.Michigan looks to be unstoppable on offense and if they learn how to tackle they will be tough. Notre Dame looked solid, but it was against PITT, the beast of the Big East, a second tier team that might not be able to beat half of the teams in the MAC conference this year. schweinhart
I heard Eddie George give his "no thoughts" earlier on Total Access about the Bucks-Horns. He don't think it's a prob for OSU but he wouldn't now would he.OSU has got to be favored IMO.The Hawk-Young match-up strikes me as the most intriguing so far this year. The Wooferines and the Frightening Irish might be a good game but I'm guessing it will be a clubbing by Michigan. Maybe Gabe Watson puts up the kind of performance he needs to for a climb up the draft board.
walshfan
Well I still feel that OSU has a quarterback problem and they dont have much of a running game hence not much offense outside of a kicker....the defense is what I thought it would be...Notre Dame did find a way to win as I said they would.. Weiss will lead them to a big bowl game this year.. cant wait to see them play S.Cal ...Im hoping Im right on my last pick ( Bengals).....
