Stripes
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2152421ESPN did a poll amongst it's own panel to list the greatest players of all time, in honor of Jerry Rice's retirement. Out of those listed "others receiving votes," Muñoz received the most votes.I'm suprised to see any Bengal anywhere near this list, but Muñoz deserves it. More votes than Emmitt Smith and Barry Sanders combined. And 4 voted for Deion Sanders, same as for Rod Woodson. Sheesh.
jbx182
surprised baugh and jones made the list. they usually get overlooked, but deserve it. did theismann vote for taylor? ouch!
John Stofa
Ray Lewis received more votes than Barry Sanders? Obviously two great players, but Ray Lewis needs to rack up a few more pro bowl appearances before he's considered on the same level as Sanders. Just my opinion. walshfan
Hey everyone has their opinion .. ranked the greatest however you want..Its IMPOSSIBE to rank players into one catagory though.. By position or unit i.e ( offensive linemen ) but dont match Rice against Lawrence Tayor or Johnny Unitas.. I would have to insert Otto Graham in any ranking of football players that had a great impact on the game.. All he did was lead his team to championships. My ranking by position would be ...QB- Montana and GrahamRB- Brown and SandersWR- Rice and HutsonOL- Munoz and John HannahLb- Butkus and NitchskeDL- R. White and Deacon JonesCB- Sanders and Willie BrownS - Ken Houston and Willie WoodK- Morten AndersonP- Yale LaryKickoff return- Gale SayersPunt return - Darrien GordonCoach - Vince LombardiO-coordniator- Bill WalshD-coordinatior- Bud Carson
