How about we stop talking about signing Warren Sapp (too expensive, too much attitude) and Ted Washington (I can't see New England not resigning him). Robaire Smith, DT for Tennessee, is a free agent and he could add some weight to the middle of our line. He was a big reason why Tennessee was no. 1 against the run this year. He may be quite a bit smaller than washington or Traylor but i still think he's over 300 pounds and he can get good pressure on the quarterback aswell (I think he has about 5 sacks).

We could also get him quite cheeply as he is not a big name player like Sapp/

Any guy with that size/ability combo would be a godsend for our defensive line. Help right where we need it most.

Oh...welcome to the forum GreenbergMan! :D

I don't want to become the titan retreads!

But even their retreads would be better than what cinci has had in awhile.

Thornten has played well. This fellow might too. Their D was, and has been, one of the best they've had for some time. <_<

I'm probably just a bit greedy on this one, but i would like us to draft a big-body and early come april. I want to see us develop some youth along that line, so that we can shuffle some of those overpaid guys like " tony williams and oliver gibson " out of here.

Chris has a very good point here. Put some young pressure on these guys to perform, or hit the road!! B)
