I don't even think he's the number one linebacker right now, but he's certainly top 5. He's had a hall of fame career, but has been on the decline. Possible candidates to take his throne are Donnie Edwards, Brian Urlacher, and Johnathan Vilma. I don't expect any of them to be as good as Ray once was.

i wouldn't put urlacher in the top 5 he is to inconsistent

ray is pissed off so he is ether gonna have a dominating season or go on a murderous rampage

Ray isn't the best linebacker in the league already.  Keith Bullock and Donnie Edwards are already better than he is.  Brian Urlacher is close, and if he's fully recovered from his injuries, forget about Ray Ray.

Odell Thurman is the new Ray Lewis.  Give him a few years and POW.

Now by POW, do you mean Odell's going to kill someone like Ray did?

No. In the immortal words of Sammy, "This ain't Cleveland". Well, it ain't Baltimore either, we don't draft criminals and we don't keep em.

Ray pisses me off, he hasn't been the best linebacker in the game for a few years. This year, his defense is designed around him and it will inflate his stats even more. He doesn't even have to touch a guy and it is counted as a tackle, he hits guys late like no other, and he has committed a double homicide.

I HATE RAY RAY!

I HATE TONY SIRAGUSA TOO EVEN THOUGH HE DOESN'T PLAY ANYMORE!

Damn, until the end I thought you were talking about Rodney Harrison. He hasn't killed anyone yet, has he?

Brian Urlacher  This guy doesn't even play a full season. I'm ashamed for everyone that mentioned his name. No way does his name get put in this thread. I think it was Touchdown who waid it first but my answer to the thread question is two years ago!

If you look at all 32 teams there isn't very many great MLB's

Zach Thomas is tough and consistent

Jams Farrior had a great year last year, but it's his only great year

London Fletcher is underrated and tough

You know, it might just be Ray, but only because there isn't that many other options.

I agree Urlacher is overrated, but I still consider him a very good linebacker. If he forgoes his injury woes (big if) then I expect big things from him.
