rizzy Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 3.10 for a gallon of gasoline is crazy. I am glad I use 87 and not a higher grade. Quote
clevelandbengal Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 It is 3.09 in Cleveland. We had a 40 cents spike over night. Quote
skyline Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 Thank Katrina. There are rumors that gas won't even be available here in a couple of days. Not sure I believe these rumors, but we'll see. Quote

rizzy Posted August 31, 2005 Author Report Posted August 31, 2005 Wow that is crazy. 4 bucks a gallon is insane. Glad I drive a civic that has great gas mileage. Quote
San Antonio Bengal Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 We've got some of the lowest prices down here. I've seen $2.60 or $2.70 for the cheap stuff. Quote
Kirkendall Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 We've got some of the lowest prices down here. I've seen $2.60 or $2.70 for the cheap stuff. That's what it was when I got up this morning. I was going to fill up on my way to work, but overslept (like bad!). So I just said I'd do it on my way back. It was 3.09 by the time I got out of work.I lost 60 per gallon and put in 12 gallons. That's $7.20 I lost in "sin" (beer and smokes) money. Damn you Taft (for your ever increasing gas tax). Damn you Cartel.. Damn you Katrina. Damn you 40 year old oil refineries. Damn you Chinese and India for takin' all of our oil. Damn you f**king seals for stalemating a potential oil goal mine. Damn you Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Russia. Damn you '04 Hurricane season. (I think I got everyone) Quote

rizzy Posted September 1, 2005 Author Report Posted September 1, 2005 There was a gas station here that left their price at 2.59 yesterday and by midday they were out of gas and had to put out of order signs on all the pumps. Quote

Wow, I bet. Sounds like a pretty dumb business move to keep the price down. Plenty of sales that day, but to run out of gas? Unheard of. Quote
