combatbengal
We've been hearing all this stuff about our Def and our off. How about our special teams? We haven't really been ablt to see our kicking game. Graham has been hurt. Who looks good receiving the ball for us? We haven't seen PW outthere. HoosierCat
I'm still concerned about Graham. And Larson has not looked very impressive. As for the rest of STs...who knows? Too many guys running around out there who won't be in stripes in a week to tell...I like Warley. Given Shane's injury I wonder if they'd try to sign him to the practice squad...would at least give them another leg in practice and if gawd forbid Shane struggles with this injury it would be nice to have a guy who's familiar with our snapper and holder in the wings. skyline
Larson seems to be flashing some talent, but he needs some consistency! We can't afford the occasional 29 yard punt to the 50 yard line...
HairOnFire
I've mentioned the poor special teams play after every game...Larson in particular. That said, after his first poor punt he looked much better in the Eagle game and one of his two 29 yard efforts was actually a very nice kick that would have pinned the Eagles deep if the ball hadn't bounced about 10 or 12 yards in the wrong direction. That said, his first effort was the same type of poor punt, flat and short, that we witnessed too often in the previous weeks. Here's one other note that you can take as a positive or as an excuse depending upon your current mood. The Philly game was the first I've observed where Bengal special team regulars were given most of the snaps. Previously the line and gunner spots were filled with grinders trying to make the team. Now I think we're starting to see the regular units attempt to get their timing down.
alleycat
Graham's groin has that fishy sign of last years mystery injuries. Abdominal pull that lasts all year and turns out to be a sports hernia (double one at that)? Warrick's mystery leg? We need to see what's going on in that team doctor's dept.
