Humanzee 5000 Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 I'm going to go with goat balls, but come on.Last week, it was a touchdown pass that Washington went ahead and made up for. This week, it was a number of passes, one of them being in wide open space in which Chad or P Dub or Walter or Washington may have turned into a touchdown. No one within 2 yards of his and he drops it.We can't afford this kinda s**t in the season. I know Chad dropped afew too but his track record allows me to be a little relaxed. Housh is repeating the same old bulls**t! Quote
Stripes Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 I don't think Housh has a track record of drops. His only upsides are his hands and routerunning. He lives and dies by both, he'll be fine. Quote
Humanzee 5000 Posted August 27, 2005 Author Report Posted August 27, 2005 I understand that. But I've been more impressed with almost every single other WR this preseason.Last weeks endzone catch and this weeks wide open in the middle catch are inexcusable. No #2 WR should have dropped either of those passes. His track record has plenty of misdemeanor and felony drops. That's why you won't see many people wearing their #84 jersey. A lot of people were weary of even resigning him due to that. Quote
Stripes Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 It's preseason, and the entire offense needs to get it's timing down. No one is in sync, and that will lead to some drops too. I think with time (before the Cleveland game), Chad and TJ, and God forbid maybe even Washington, will start catching the football. Quote
BengalBax Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 He got his payday, he don't give a $hit... Quote
Stripes Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 He got his payday, he don't give a $hit... No athlete really has that mindset, that's just what us poor average bastards tend to believe. He wants to catch the ball and contribute, he wants to prove last year was no fluke. Quote
CantStop85 Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 His daughter will give him another lesson in catching the ball and everything will be fine.Relax. Quote
HairOnFire Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 How many yards and big plays did the Bengals simply drop last night? Chad had multiple drops, so did TJ, Henry had at least one, and Chris Perry had two. I bet it all aded up to about 150 yards passing, at least one score, and a couple of stalled drives left on the rug. So why when I read this thread do I see K-Dub, a guy who didn't play at all, mentioned? Haters. Quote
