Spain Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 Ok Im tired of this guys hurt post. Marvin isnt risking his best players in these games because he wants them fresh! Why do you think he cut training camp? He thinks our slow starts have something to do with the players risking injury and being overworked!! How many starters played in the preseason against us in the Pats game! With a winning franchise, preseason is to scout and nothing more. Till this third game! They want to win this one! Now the Sparks are going to fly! Quote
whodey85 Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 You just have to trust in Marvin! Quote
Spain Posted August 24, 2005 Author Report Posted August 24, 2005 Thes injuries are way overrated, dont blow them up! Quote
whodey85 Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 You dont know the danger in the injury and neither do I. Once again trust Marvins decsion. Quote
Wraith Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 *knock on wood*The Bengals don't have any injuries to any significant players that will force them to miss games in the regular season. If we can get through the next two preseason games with that still being the case then I say it has been a VERY successful Preseason. Quote
whodey85 Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 Willies had a sore knee for a while. This could be a problem! Quote
Wraith Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 Willie had a worse sore knee last year and played all 16 games...he has played 81 games in a row Willie says he is 100% better than last year. Quote
bengalskyspy Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 This team is in NFL terms, very healthy. Skill Players, healthy. O-line, healthy. D-line, healthy. D-Backs, healthy. Only question mark is Madieu, and I dont think it is a big question. Warrick not a starter, not even on the team. Nate Webster, not a starter. Willie Anderson is just fine thank you. He had surgery, he will be ready. Quote

DC_Bengals_Fan Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 Willie had a worse sore knee last year and played all 16 games...he has played 81 games in a row Willie says he is 100% better than last year. He's also had microfracture surgery on it, something which to my knowledge hasn't allowed a player to significantly lengthen his career. It basically means that Willie has no more cartilage in his knee, and they've tried the last resort to try to generate some. Terrell Davis did it, and it didn't work.I'm hopeful, but I think the writing is on the wall with Willie and the Bengals really need to spend a fairly early pick on a tackle next year. Quote
