Bengal_Brad
The 3rd pre-season game is usually the closest one to an actual game. What will all of you be looking for? Do you think it's important to win? Will any of you feel hope drifting away if Palmer has another bad outing? :player:
Spain
Palmer getting a quick start, if he sucks in this one he must of done nothing but workout in the offseason. Im also going to watching his wheels, He has been doing a Elway impression out there with his legs! He just needs to learn to use his legs to buy time for the pass and not the rushing yards. DontTakeAkili
I'll be interested to see who gets playing time at wide receiver. This game will go a long way in determining the depth chart.
walshfan
the linebackers making clean tackles....Palmer's short game coming around ( its the receivers too being in the right place)more pressure on McNabb.... this is allways a problem it seems... BengalPappaw
I interested in seeing: 1. How Palmer/Offense step up the scoring and passing game. 2. How well David Pollack Plays. 3. Progress of Thurman at MLB 4. Depth of the Defensive backs at stopping the Eagles passing game.
whodey85
I want to see how Palmer does also
HairOnFire
Pollack - Not sure what to expect, but I'll be interested in how early he gets in the game and how he's being used. Do they test him in pass coverage or limit his reps and use him only as a pass rusher? I also want to see how much control he has over his emotions. That said, after the way the holdout drug on I'll be happy just to see him in uniform. Palmer - Read the defense...run the offense....stay in the pocket....spray the ball around. Stop drawing up plays in the dirt. Develope some timing. Get TJ going. Warrick - Does he play, and if so....what does he look like? It's getting late. Starting run D - More of the same please. Intangibles - Eliminate mistakes and improve timing on both sides of the ball. Some units are getting more press after their mediocre showing against the Redskins, but the entire team seemed to be off. Young guys - Which of the dark horses steps up? HDJ, Ghent, Body? WhoDey93285
David Pollack. Anyone got any information on how much he'll be playing?
schweinhart
What I be watching.Defense:1. Safeties in the box and over the top.2. Landon on blocks in pass rush and vs. run at SSLB.3. Pollack in coverage at SSLB.4. Justin Smith pass rush. I thought he'd be racking up sacks.5. Shaun Smith or Mathias Askew or Langston Moore. Which 2 stick?Offense:1. Sit back and enjoy 2. Let's see some P-Dub early and often.3. Schobel's been blocking well. Will it continue?4. Run, Carson, Run. There will be times when he's gotta move the chains that way to keep drives alive. So far so good.5. Stacy the Giant. Looks ready if needed to me.
Stripes
Things to watch for:Cliff Russell get our offense going in some nice field position.Kevin Walter receive (no pun intended) some opportunities against first team defense.Washington get separation and make long catches to finalize his roster spot.Warrick get one last opportunity to shine, unless he's missed to much practice to play.Houshmandzadeh make a catch. Just one. (not that I'm worried)Palmer to complete 70 percent or better and have an early scoring drive.Rudi to play longer and better.Perry to devour yardage on third down and late in the game. More ballerina moves would be welcome.Stacy Andrews to put some Eagles on the ground.Thurman or Pollack to make a big play.Kaeshviharn to have a poor game, and Herring to have a good one.Ratliff to see the field more than in previous weeks. (hopefully returning punts as well as defending)Larson to play much better.Marvin to shout at someone.Andy Reid to eat a doughnut.

derekshank
He has been doing a Elway impression out there with his legs! I'm okay with an Elway impression, assuming he does it with his arm as well.injuries injuries injuries...preseason scares the hell out of me. i hate to see any of our guys go down in a game that doesn't count.A lot of pre-season injuries come from players playing not to get hurt. A player who understands that the game means nothing goes out there to get reps, but plays a little differently than usual, and a lot of times gets a serious injury. The way Palmer was playing out there shows he is a real competitor, and wants to win, regardless if the game matters or not... so in that respect, I'm not more worried about this game than any other... he just needs to learn to take those hits on the run a bit more gracefully. As for the other players, let's just hope they play like they normally would. Injuries are part of the game, and can't be an excuse for a losing season... no matter if the game that it occured in mattered or not... but you're right... it would be painful to watch one of our studs go down. We do have decent depth at more positions than usual though, so there aren't too many "end of the season" type injuries to watch for. shatan
what i wanna see in this pre-season game is chris perry get some play time while palmer is still in the game. it's really starting to look like perry could give us that extra element on 3rd down runs and short yardage pass game, which up to this point has been almost non--existant. The_Next_Big_Thing
Eagles Cheerleaders! Damn you for posting this before me!I'll be watching them, as much as possible. Hottest cheerleaders in the NFL. Just as the Cowboys USED to be "America's Team", the Cowgirls USED to be the hottest. Sorry, but Philly has the hotties, and they stay scantily clad even in the snow! Dedication my friends, dedication. I'll be watching for injuries and praying our guys get out healthy. I'll be watching Big Willie if indeed he comes back to play. I'll be watching BIG Stacy to see if he can continue to fill in as well as he has.I'll be watching David Pollack to see how far along he is in learning the new position.I'll be watching Peter Warrick sit on the sideline, most likely in street clothes.I'll be watching Cruel Intentions, during commercials, because damn that's a great movie. bengalrick
i'll be watching many things:-odell is tops on my list... when he figures out how to quit cheating to one side or the other, and start taking on the blocker or getting around them quicker...-pollack... i can't wait to see him play-the dline as a whole... i want to see some pressure on mcnabb or whoever is in there...-simmons needs to start playing better...-perry against a first string defense...-pdub playing...-washington continuing to play better...-of course, palmer getting off to a better start, instead of waiting until he throws an INT before he plays good... No, he's not Madieu, but he's good enough for a BACKUP. he got burnt pretty bad 2 times in the last preseason game... as soon as go-bengals comes back up, i'll post the exact two plays so you can check them out for your self... the first was not caught (early in the game) and the second was caught for a 25 yard gain... KK sucks... sorry man... i know that this pisses people off when i say this, but i don't really care... he isn't a very good player at all imo... and considering that he is our BACKUP, is great in all, IF we assume he won't play at all this year... but since herring was out a few games last year, and madieu is now out.. so, if he gets in, he will have to play like a starter, when he is in... watch the last game again and make a point to watch him... he did make about 3 or 4 good plays that i saw... but he got burnt twice on plays that he seemed to be late in helping deltha out over the top...watch it, and if you disagree w/ me, then you can bash me.. until then, i see what i see, and you remember what you remember... And Deltha, being the gambler that he is, really needs someone who can give him a good bit of help. I'm also hopeful that Deltha will eventually learn to save his bigger gambles for when he actually has safety help.

Bengal_Smoov
KK is a back up at best, I want back -ps who could/should be starting. Jones or Myles would be a better option, imo. KK is slow as molasses, misses open field tackles, and is a liability in coverage. He is versatile, he sucks at cb and safety. KK is a good special teams player and he had 62 tackles last year so he is around the ball.
