I'd say it has to be Donnie Edwards. He's been a dominant linebacker for a good while now, but you never hear him mentioned as a top tier player.

Harrison gets tons of publicity for the cheap shot artist he is. Most of those big hits he lays come after the ball is gone on defenseless receivers, and he always goes for the head. If he could do what he does without headhunting, I'd agree with you.

Regardless, Harrison is not underexposed, he gets tons of camera time.

I'd have to go w/ London Fletcher off of that list. I fthink Sean Ellis at last deserves to be on that poll.

Kevin Williams should be on this list and should lead the voting. #6 in the NFL in sacks last year, playing on the Vikings line, 52 solo tackles and 18 assists. Tack on an interception, as well as 7 passes defensed, and you have one hell of an interior lineman.

I get to see lots Jets ball on TV. He is a very good LB. I would have him on my team in a heartbeat

I went with Donnie Edwards..I think he's is absolutely top tier and can't figure out what game the sportscasters are watching by not consistenetly list him as such...not enough grandstanding and smack talk...

Write in vote - Julius Peppers. He is the most dominating player of any position in the NFL - Teams game plan around him, and he still dominates. You could put him on the most putrid defensive squad in the NFL (i.e. 49ers, Turds) and they'd be a top 15 'D'. He should be Defensive MVP unanimously every year 'till 2010!

i agree peppers is the best defensive player in the league but he gets a s**t-load of exposure

Not sure if he's still under-rated but what about Freeney? He gets press but nowhere near as much as he deserves for single-handedly saving the Colts defense.

How about going to the dark side and listing a Brown? Andra Davis doesn't get much attention, but he's been solid. I can't of many defenders that are truly overrated. Donnie Edwards and Zach Thomas are the only two that come to mind immediately, and one of them isn't in the poll.

How about Keith Bullock, you don't hear his name too much and he is on the same kind of level with some of the best LB's in the game. Edwards is good but he isn't even the most underrated player on his team. I think that belongs to Terrence Kiel the Safety.

man zach thomas isn't under-rated his D shceme was designed to make him look good don't get me wrong he is a really good player .... before last season

As much as I hate the guy I have to say Ray Lewis...he still gets a lot of exposure, but I think he is the most dominating linebacker since Lawrence Taylor. I believe he will be huge this year because people are saying that he's lost a step in the last two years, I think that just pisses Ray off enough to stab someone.
