I thought it was pretty funny when the announcers suggested the Bengals trade Perry.

What game were YOU watching?

Then again, I'm here in Dayton, listening to Munoz and the white dude.

We watched the same game but if I wanted to see the game live I had to listen to the Redskin announcers. Pretty painful. That said one of them did get off a great line when he said of the backups..."some of these guys couldn't play a dead man in a western."

If I was counseling Pushy and had all of his posts as a basis for what is going on inside of him, I would state these top 10 may be making Pushy to make him post this way...

Add one more.

11 - Pushy is so embarrassed by his remarks about how the Bengals should have skipped the pick instead of drafting Perry that he's now overcompensating in an attempt to understand why the pick was made.

You are such a fool. You have contorted my quotes to something they originally werent, and use them whenever you know im right, because you have no other arguements. "He must be wrong, look at what he said 2 years ago!" Move on man. All I said back then was that the pick of RB was unnecessary because we already had a starter. But that was my wrong because clearly Marvin Lewis had seen something in practices that I handnt, and knew that Rudi Johnson wasnt the starter he appeared to be when splitting time with Dillon, and that showed in 2004. Before 04 I was a fan of Rudi Johnson, but unlike you guys, I dont stay blind after watching him suck for 70% of the season.

Pretty funny how immature some of you are, you have HoF clinging to 2 year old posts as his only defense for something that has nothing to do with that and a moderator calling me gay. You guys really do crack me up.

And to whoever said wait untill perry breaks the rushing record. Well he would if he had the chance. But thats not something that can be done as a backup. So first what I'm asking in this poll would have to happen, THEN he would break the records. Man I have to explain everything to you guys like you are pre-schoolers.

He was drafted 1st for a reason! This guy is amazing on the feild.

Me personally I think he will be starting around week 5 or 6. I think RJ gets a few courtesy weeks, but after a few weak games, the bengals decide to go another direction, and Perry takes over.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Who cares... they'll probably both be used situationally. Maybe even both of them could be in the backfield at the same time on some plays... but then J. Johnson is left on the sidelines, and he's a great blocker.

Anyway... at the start of any given game, whether I see #32 or #23 in the backfield, I'll be happy... because both of them will be able to get the job done.

A team that has it's strength in stopping the run will have trouble again Perry, catching passes out of the backfield. A team that has trouble with the run will really hate this O-line and Rudi hitting them in the mouth over and over again.

Whoever Marvin decides is the "starter" I'll be happy with, because they will both be wearing stripes.

P.S. Do they have these same arguments in Atlanta with Dunn and Duckett, or in Pittsburgh with Bettis and Staley, or are we the only fans in the league stupid enough to root against one of our own?

dittto.

I'm having a hard time figuring out why this argument is an "either/or" situation instead of a "both/and". We have depth to insure against injury and we have 2 deadly options for defenses to prepare against and be stretched. Did the NFL make a new rule stating that you can only have one RB on your roster or can only use one per game? The reality is that we have something at almost every skill position on our team that we never had in the Mike Brown hands on/player evaluation days = real talent depth.

These 2002 roster spots would not even make our practice squad if they were in their prime now:

S. Brewer, J. Burris, T. Dorsch, R. Dugans, D. Farmer, A. Hawkins, N. Luchey and M. Westbrook. But in 2002, this was the level of talent that we were relying on, many of them to start.

Times have changed and depth should be welcomed.

Hasn't this already been decided? I thought you made Perry the starter last week based upon his 3.6 yard per carry average?

4.53 yards per touch, at 80%, NEXT

Funny though that the Rudi 'You're going the wrong way' Johnson (10 carries 20 yards) fan is trashing ANYONE based on ypc.

OMG Rudi set rushing records for the Bengals last season and you want to put him in the tank in the pre-season...:wacko::wacko::wacko::wacko:

I'd like to point out that Big O took 10 shots at trying to determine the motives of our pushy friend and seemed to miss on each and every one of them. Meanwhile, I baited a single hook and promptly caught the fish I was after.

I don't care who actually starts the game I'm excited the way both have played so far & also want to see them both in the backfield @ the same time. Obviously they both are different type of runners & they're going to give Defenses fits. Didn't RJ have something like 360 carries last year? That's alot of punishment & RJ has proven he's a durable back & can take it but for how long & we don't know how durable Perry will be over a whole season ? Look @ Wash. IMHO the O did do better when Perry came in & we was able to get outside & do some things that isn't suited for a power running back like Rudi that's exactly why I"m excited to have them both. If we're playing a D with big D-line & can't smack them in the mouth between the tackles ( ex. Wash.) let's see if they have the speed to cover & tackle Perry & vise-versa if we're playing a fast D who can play sideline to sideline it's time to play some smashmouth football bring on Rudi I don't what's not to love about that? I'd love to keep them both I just don't know if we could afford to financially GO BENGALS!!! Wrong again, you just have no luck do you? Actually Big O was right on a few of those. (10, 9, 8 (fast, or used to be fast, i havent played football in a year or so), and 1.) Your only one was far from the truth and was based on a half truth. In fact, Big O's alien abduction theory was about as close as yours. Go crawl back in your hole. Your obsession with me is unhealthy, I'm not sure weather I should be flattered or scared that you spend so much time thinking about me, analysing my posts, going through old posts of mine, and posting about me. Maybe you should find another hobby?

Actually I am having some luck when you consider that all I have to do is write one or two lines to get you to respond with long winded posts filled with whining and excuse making.

Hook baited, fish caught.

A couple of corrections...

You claim that using your own words from two years ago is my only defense, but I'd like to point out that I'm not the one being attacked. Rudi is the one being attacked, and your previous opinion about Perry being a wasted pick seems rather relevant on that score. And for that matter so does your habit of completely reversing yourself on issues the very issue that seems to be most important to you.

Last, while I'm not a big fan or the gay rant it should be noted that two mods, not one, have implied you might be gay. Or didn't I understand the part in Big O's abduction rant about your intense desire to return to the side of Mr. Crazy Fingers?

HoF, if you are any older than 13, I feel sorry for you.

Time to get back on topic (untill HoF's obsession with me pops back up). How long untill Perry takes over!

IMO Rudi Johnson is Travis Henry without receiving skills. Id say without the fumble problems also, but RJ fumbed more times last year than Henry did in the past 2!

Oh, you're a smart guy. Let's make Perry the starter based on his performance against the Patriots and Redskins 2nd stringers in the preseason. Yea, that's a good idea.

Oh, and don't forget about the few times he ran the ball last season as well. Perry has such a storied rushing history.
