walzav29 Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 I do not want to see Palmer, just chucking passes to Johnson. If someone else is open, Throw it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If he just tries to just force feed it to Chad, I'm going to puke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Use the weapon's! Quote

Rimington over Marino Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 Everyone knows when he is gonna throw it to Chad, even watching on TV and I can't see Chad til the ball gets there. He justs stands there waiting for him to get open and then it is usually too late. Quote
Kazkal Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 he'll learn his self ie this game where he threw to chad 3 times and nothing happened buty started going other people and s**t happened Quote

Yup. Looking for Chad early and often is SOP for Brat. He does it a lot, I suppose because he thinks it intimidates defenses, or forces them to commit more to defensing the pass and thus opening lanes for Rudi, etc. And it even works for that quick strike score on occasion. Trouble is, I think most teams have sort of caught on to this little habit by now, so you see a lot more of what we saw last night in Q1: blitzes early and often. Chad may always be open, but Palmer isn't going to have time to make the connection if, as soon as he drops back, he has a defender in his face. Quote
DesperateDerelict Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 Hard to tell what BB & Marvin asked Palmer to do . . . we're running 'vanilla' offense while trying NOT to give away any major offensive secrets . . . remember, our 1st game is an away game at a divisional rival. I don't care what they do during preseason, as long as they come out smokin' against the turds. Quote
