For tonights game what is everyone looking to see?

This is what I want to see:

1.) Offense - Get into a good rhythm unlike last week

2.) P-Dub - will he still have his p-dubishnish

3.) Chris Perry - Can he build on last week and look even better

4.) Defense - Just be better than last week

5.) Chris Henry - See if he gets a little more aggressive out there

I'm mostly looking for some individual improvement. I grew wary of making any team distinctions a few years back when they came out of preseason ranked something like No. 1 on defense, and then did their usual thing once the games started to count.

Carson was way off last week. I'd like to see much better accuracy and a TD pass would be nice.

I want to see the young guys like Odell and Andews show some week-to-week improvement.

I want to see Justin Smith get pressure from his new location, and Bryan Robinson stuff any runs coming his way.

I want to see some sure tackling on defense and some big plays made, not just nearly made, when the opportunities arise.

I want to see how Warrick looks after his layoff and how his knee responds after the game.

I want to see Schobel catch a pass.

I'm watching all the rookies and 2nd year players in particular. If I was to put them in order I would have to say...

1. Odell Thurman

2. Chris Perry

3. Chris Henry

4. Carson Palmer (2nd year in action)

5. Quincy Wilson (I'm pulling for him to win the #3 job)

Well as a little prediction, Bengals 24 Redskins 20

Also as a note: Next week I will provide a lot of coverage on the Bengals @ Eagles game, I am lucky enough to be making the trip down to the Linc for that one.

I think the passing game is paramount in everyones mind. The timing was definitely off last week, and while I know what was said about the first preseason game and all ....... wasn't that why Palmer and his receivers spent all that time together in the off season ??????

Chris Perry .... Again, I think everybody here would like to see him duplicate and expand on what he did last week. I rooting for him to make a full recovery. We've lost more than one good young guy at what should have been the beginning of his career, and I have no desire to see it again with him.

I'm with Joisey on the defense. The " almosts " from last week were enough to make you crazy. I want to see Askew on the field doing something. I know what you're saying about team distinctions Joisey, but I'd like to see the opponents rushing numbers decline from last week. I don't care if its not the first squad either ... the backups are going to have to play too at some time or other.

Back to the passing game ... looking for and Henry and Perry to see if Palmer is developing a feel for them as opposed to going through the motions. How will Warrinck do ??? What will Warrick do ??? slot ?? returns ???

Gibbs is a good coach and he's got enough on his team for this to be a good test to see how far our guys have come.

I will also be looking more individually thatn collectively.

1. I'll definitely be watching Pollack on the sideline. I want to see how emotionally involved he gets. They rave about his energy and vibrancy. I want to see it even if he isn't on the field. You know, running out congratulating guys, slapping helmets, that kind of stuff.

2. I for one am really excited to see P-dub back on the field. Cancelled all my Friday night plans just to see how he looks. With him and Perry healthy, it brings a whole other dimension to our offense.

3. The Trenches. For years now we've always watched our defensive line get beat at the point of attack. I want to see the Redskins O-line move backwards....consistently backwards.

4. I'm another one looking for Askew on the field. I'm still waiting for him to be the steal of the draft, and have had my fingers crossed on him being a force for the future.

5. Stacy Andrews. I really think they are looking at this guy to see which of the offensive lineman get the money in the next couple. If he becomes the monster everyone sees, then who between Willie, Levi, and Steinbach(doubt Steinbach) get to hit FA

I could probably keep this list going awhile too :P

I'm still a bit stunned that I'll get to see the game live. I had already set my Tivo to record the tape delayed game, but my morning paper informed me I get the live version. Imagine that, Bengal football being shown live in the Los Angeles area. The mind boggles.

What I'm looking for?

Vast improvement from Kyle Larson. Marvin pimped him as one of the most improved players from last season and he responded with a miserable effort against the Pats. I haven't seen anything that flat since my first date.

More of the same from the starting defensive line. Seriously, I had no complaints with any of the starters against the run or the pass.

Please step it up O'Dell. You looked great against the Pats only if the viewer didn't look closely. Eliminate mistakes.

I want to see Pollack on the sidelines wearing a Bengal uniform but no pads.

A view Askew? This guy needs to start showing something and if he does the long-term outlook for this defense improves dramatically.

As for the offense, I'd like to see Kelley Washington have a big night, P-Dub doing enough to put our minds at ease, and I wouldn't mind seeing Chris Perry flash a move that injuries one of the OTHER teams linebackers.

I jealous you guys even get to watch the game. You would think that they would have the game on up here (in-state team, division rival) but nooo, they have to show us the exciting game beween the Jets and Vikings. I am acually considering driving back to my family's house in Dayton tonight to see the game.

Great points! Okay, I'll move the 'skins cheerleaders to third!

Im just looking for Chris Perry to continue his run to take over the starting RB spot.

Somehow, I saw that one coming ;)

I agree with others, that I'd like to see Palmer look a little more smooth this game, but I'm really not worried about him.

I'm more concerned with seeing how our defense gels.

I'd love to see Odell rush the quarterback a couple of times to see if he learned from lats week's mistake. I'd love to see Askew make a difference.

I also agree with the above comment about Larson. I've been pulling for the guy since we got him, but last week didn't do much to calm my nerves concerning the punting game.

I wouldn't mind it a bit if Chad was held out of this game or only played a few snaps. His role is already well defined. He's been dinged of late. Wouldn't mind seeing him get some rest. Plus, it would allow the Bengals to take a longer look at WR spots 2 thru 5. But truth be told I think Palmer leans too heavily on his connection with Chad and I'd like to break him of a bad habit.

Having said that I will now put my helmet on and await the word bombs that are sure to be tossed in my direction. :player:

I agree for the most part, although it'd be nice to see Carson connect on one of those bomb's to Chad that he butchered last week...

Im going to be watching Palmer myself!

Let me guess, you will be watching the game in your speedo, with 3 hot young topless spanish women all over you, while your wife cooks you dinner in the other room?

B) You forgot the all important rubberband .

 I wonder if he's been introduced to the alligator clips and 9 volt batteries. And Billy don't you dare act like you don't know what I'm talking about.

Is that game being shown live in Dayton as well?
