NJ29
C.P.: Initial run with C.D., J.B., Rudi J.I think it's premature to compare Perry to JB. But if Perry is Broooks, does that make Rudi the modern day Ickey?
The_Next_Big_Thing
Well, they did both run right up the gut and are both power backs.
NJ29
Now all Rudi needs is a goofy TD dance.
rizzy
I wish he had one, but I just don't see rudi ever doing that. He just doesn't show that much emotion out on the field.
tigerclaw
perry is also a much bigger back than brooks
bengalboomer7
Hey, the Ickey Shuffle is a classic. And it helped put the Bengals in the spotlight. That, and Boomer's magic ball fake. Man I always loved that. I was just a little younger than you, NJ
NJ29
Man, why is it always brought up how freaking old I am. I know what went on in the 80s people. what am I the resident little brother? I know just as much about the game of football as all of you people, so can I just be a member of BengalsZone? I think I have the most publisized age on the board. I'm not mad at you Boomer, it's just the frustration of my age being brought up every time that I post. HairOnFire
When I read the thread title I wondered if Hobson compared Perry to Brooks because neither of them can read. That said, the link didn't work and I haven't read the article yet.
Spain
From a long time Bebgals fan. James Brooks is the most underrated RB in the history of the NFL. You look at his average per carry 5.6-5.7, thats right 5 not 4. I dont know how many of you had the pleasure of watching him play? He was clearly the best running back that ever put on a bengals uniform! Its victoria C that screwed every black player on the team that year , and JBs career. Columbusbengal
Hey NJ, I'm 58 years old and watched the first Bengals game ever played So don't feel bad.
The_Next_Big_Thing
I wish he had one, but I just don't see rudi ever doing that. He just doesn't show that much emotion out on the field. Like hell he doesn't. He shows desire, he just does his job and doesn't feel the need to dance. Dancing isn't his job, running the damned football is.
