mtmeece Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 Warrick Warrick Warrick Warrick Pollack Pollack Pollack Pollack Blah Blah Blah. I'm a little more worried at this point with the players already in camp and being all nicked up, is it me or does the team seem to have more than the normal amount of injuries for this time of year. Don't get me wrong I really want to see Pollack signed and Warrick at 100% but I'm really on ML's side when it comes to focusing on the players at camp that are ready, willing and able to play and it seems like they are getting pretty nicked up Quote
bengalboomer7 Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 most of those guys are vets coming back from offseason injury. We already know the status of Nate and Willie, and we know that most of those guys will be returning soon. Pollack isn't even a Bengal yet, so that is a concern and it seems like the Warrick situation is as cloudy as ever. You got something better to talk about regarding our beloved Bengals? Quote
KiLBurn Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 Last preseason there seemed to be a lot of injuries as well... Perry, Abdullah and Weathersby come to mind. Hopefully, we will not be hit with the injuries as bad this preseason. Quote
mtmeece Posted August 10, 2005 Author Report Posted August 10, 2005 I have always been and shall always be a loyal fan of our Beloved Bengals. I guess all of the rampant hand wringing is catching. By the way you are correct about vets with previous injuries I was more concerned with the so called little ankle tweak to CJ and SG.s groin. Oh wait this just in the wife just brought me a large dose of Rum & Coke things a strarting to look up already.I will try to post more carefully in the future. Quote
bengalboomer7 Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 Now I can't wait to get home, I'm thirsty. Also, I'm sorry if I implied that is was a bad post, I even tell Spain to post what he wants to(got bit in the ass for that one, didnt I) I was just eluding to the fact that as far as the Bengasl go, this is our main headlines right now. Most of the other questions are either answered, or in the wait and see pile right now. As far as CJ and minor injuries, well, that's just gonna happen. Guys are gonna pull muscles and tweak hammies and stuff like that. What I thought was promising is that other thatn ADAM Kieft, there hasn't been anything serious(knocking on wood right now) Quote
mtmeece Posted August 10, 2005 Author Report Posted August 10, 2005 After a moment to reflect and a reload on the ol Rum & Coke I must also apologize I didn't mean to say that all of the Pollack & Warrick post's both pro & con are not relevant just that without either of them a HEALTHY team will do quite well. swallow Ah Ah Ah Ah. I have discovered that my belief that the bengals can win the super bowl rises in direct proportion to my consumption of rum & cokes.Unfortunately, tonight I am out of rum and out of coke.So I will investigate and see if the same proposition holds true for orange juice and vodka. HairOnFire Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 So I will investigate and see if the same proposition holds true for orange juice and vodka. Let me guess. We're screwed. Quote
Spain Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 You should see me after a loss! The bengals have made me a drunk! Quote
Ickey44 Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 So I will investigate and see if the same proposition holds true for orange juice and vodka. Let me guess. We're screwed. It's a pun, get it? Quote
mtmeece Posted August 12, 2005 Author Report Posted August 12, 2005 For me it kinda works both ways. The Bengals win and I celebrate The Bengals lose and I quench my sorrow I'm suddenly faced with a new reality from now on I will only drink when it's daylight or dark Quote
mtmeece Posted August 12, 2005 Author Report Posted August 12, 2005 Oh yeah I forgot my favorite reply " I drink to make others more interesting" Quote
HairOnFire Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 So I will investigate and see if the same proposition holds true for orange juice and vodka. Let me guess. We're screwed. It's a pun, get it? It was actually intended to be one of those multi-level jokes that I've become well known for. You see on one level you get your basic orange juice and vodka screwdriver riff, and on another level you get the appropriate Joisey styled "We're screwed!" negativity. Thus, the double play. That said, I've always believed that any joke you have to explain sucks. Quote
Ickey44 Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Not necessarily. If it's a blatantly obvious joke, and you still have to explain it, you get the satisfaction of knowing the person you have to explain it to is a complete retard. Quote

Please, wih you playing Abbott to my Costello I've already squeezed three bad jokes out of one remarkably weak premise. I'm spent. j/k Quote
